Free Magic

Free magic is a manifestation of Magic Flow in which the magic flow builds up to a bursting point and explodes, leaving various natural effects depending on the type of built up magic. Some of these eruptions of pure magic can affect large areas, creating Places Of Power such as the Friesgim. Due to the high presence of magic flow in these regions even long after an eruption has occured, these spots are incredibly sought after as fortresses or homes by spellcasters seeking to use the powers of the region to amplify their enchantments and train new and unique spells.

Manifestation

Free magic manifests itself in drastically different ways depending on the type of magic that had built up at the location. These manifestations can last anywhere between an instant and a permanent restructuring of the area, though they usually only last for a year or less.
