Taiga Giant Ethnicity in Ruslavia | World Anvil

Taiga Giant

Taiga Giants live in the Forest of Frost, and are generally more spiritual and Druidic than the ferocious Frost Giants of the north or the violent Ash Giants of the wastelands.

Culture

Common Dress code

Taiga Giants have developed a method of weaving animal wool that builds layers of chunky knitted rows on top of each other. It offers some protection from being hurt, but is mostly enjoyed for its cosy warmth. Taiga Giants wear thick green armour woven with this technique, fastened by wooden buckles and buttons or plant fibre. The deep green of the wool provides camouflage against the forest, making it easier to ambush unwanted intruders.

Common Taboos

A great shaman of long ago foretold of a great conflict between silver and gold that would tear the forest apart. For this reason, all metal is forbidden in the Taiga Giants' territory, and the Giants are particularly distrustful of metal coins.
