Oleg Character in Ruslavia | World Anvil

Oleg

Oleg is the son of Vasilly and Anna, wife of Vasilly. The last time they saw each other, Oleg was still very small and probably doesn't remember his father at all. When Vasilly returned from The Eighth Hoary War, he arrived at his house to find the entire family missing, and does not know whether Oleg is still alive.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

When Oleg was little, he was stolen from his family's home by the Snow Queen, after the home's Domovoi was Touched by Winter. He now lives in Koroleva, and plays the Gusli harp that his mother taught him at the Snow Queen's Court.   Whenever the Zima Family visits, Oleg is released from his court musician role to play with the Snow Maiden. By keeping the Snow Maiden content, the Snow Queen hopes to curry favour with the Zima Spirits.

Contacts & Relations

Queen Khlodelle: Oleg is the unwillling pet of Queen Khlodelle. He plays music in her court and she uses him to entertain the Snow Maiden on Zima Family visits.   The Snow Maiden: The Snow Maiden and Oleg play together in the Court of the Snow Queen. It is a somewhat one-sided relationship, since Oleg will be punished if he upsets the Snow Maiden in anyway, whereas the Snow Maiden can be as hurtful as she likes without reprecussions.

The typical domestic animal has a starting attitude of indifferent, while wild animals are usually unfriendly. Must be within 30 feet of the animal under normal circumstances to use Wild Empathy. Generally, influencing an animal in this way takes 1 minute, but as with influencing people, it might take more or less time. Can use this ability to influence a magical beast with an Intelligence score of 1 or 2, with a -4 penalty on the check.
