Celestial Heavens

The Celestial Heavens are the least understood of all the Plane of Existence. The Celestial Heavens are part of the Outer Planes, and the counterpart of the Abyss and the Nine Hells. Where the Abyss and Nine Hells are considered the Lower Planes, the Celestials Heavens are considered the Upper Planes.
The Celestial Heavens are believed to be made up of countless smaller, and interconnected divine realms of the deities known to exist where each of the deities resides.
It is widely believed that those who have led a good life go to an appropriate divine realm, with those who worship a specific deity going to their deity’s divine realm.
It is clear that the deities exist; they seem unable to directly intervene in other planes of existence, instead the celestials who travel to other Planes of Existence to enact their deities’ divine wills.
Much like the other Outer Planes, the Abyss and Nine Hells, a barrier seems to exist between the Celestial Heavens and the other Planes of Existence. There seems to be a significant difference between the barrier that exists between the Celestial Heavens and the other Planes, as communication and transportation between them seems so incredibly difficult that most believe it impossible.

Portals to the Plane

There do not seem to be portals to the Celestial Heavens, either spontaneous or permanent, instead it seems that only one way portals have been recorded, with celestials being sent forth and then losing direct contact with their deities.

Denizens of the Heavens

The Celestial Heavens, in addition to being the home of the deities, are also the home to the celestials, the most numerous of which being Angels who are said to be the embodiment of the divine realms, the Celestial Heavens, and the deities themselves.
