The Half-Orcs of Videssos besieged the dwarven mountain mecha of Hammerhold with the objective of stealing the dwarven king’s ceremonial Runehammer. The Runehammer was lost in the battle and has not been seen since. The orcish armies mercilessly destroyed the remaining dwarven settlements and all dwarves have fled to assorted Daetian cities.
The leader of the Union, King Belerond Tabius, was assassinated in a gruesome public display by his kingsguard after leaving a council meeting with the top regional powers in the Union. The Union disbanded the next day and his three sons, Joseph, Ernisius, and Rickon IV, have been at odds for control of The Nested Flats.
King Joseph Tabius, the Lord of Dawngate and leader of the Knights of the Nest chivalric order has besieged the settlement of Antiera. Lord Rickon Tabius IV, the lord of Antiera and commander of the Flame Order knighthood, held a valiant defense but was ultimately defeated. Lord Tabius IV was hanged for previous crimes and the Flame Order was disbanded.
The Bailiff of Osset, Gorag Goldcrown has declared himself Baron and Osset as his Barony. He sealed a military alliance with the Elven Khanate through a political marriage to the daughter, Faowin Raloryn, of the Khanate's Advisor, Salzaphir Raloryn.
Baron Gorag Goldcrown was slain by his wife Baroness Faowin Raloryn after being critically wounded in a duel with Yera "Grond" Melelea, who died in the duel.
The One-League War is a war fought between the Barony of Osset and the city-states of Narina. It is called The One-League War as very little land was ever captured and held by either force, the war was more of a series of battles occurring in the same One-League area of the Shrouded Reach. Both sides suffered significant losses and signed a cease-fire after about one year.
Following the marriage of Mork Ratskin and Faowin Raloryn the city-state of Osset has been struck by a Grobber Pox outbreak. Usually, Grobber Pox isn't too bad as most Humanoids have a genetic immunity, but this outbreak seems particularly potent. The death toll is rising quickly and public outcry is mounting.
The Tabius brothers, the Kings of Dawngate and Boulderbarrow respectively have formally signed a cease-fire and subsequent non-aggression pact. This marks the end of a long and bloody conflict over the two brother's hereditary titles.
Videssossian military units have crossed over the Daetus Spine and started garrisoning in troops in the Hammerhold ruins near Boulderbarrow. The kings of the Nested Flats are certainly concerned and their spies cannot figure out why they are there. The High Council of Magic assures the public that they are looking for something in the ruins and have no interest in Daetus. However, their message does not quell the paranoia.
Ernan Tompas and Merxim Finefirn, two Gnome engineers from the Vanuyen-Aerodynamics finally cracked the code on the construction of flying vessels. No longer are the clouds limited to the reach of birds and the dragon riders of old. Airships are constructed by attaching large reinforced hot air balloons to sea vessels and using a hand-cranked propellor to move the ship forward.
The Kingdoms of Boulderbarrow and Dawngate have confederated once again. Joseph Tabius is now the King of the Nested Flats has dominion over Dawngate, Antiera, and Boulderbarrow. The leadership of Boulderbarrow, Lord Ernisius Tabius, begrudgingly accepted. The confederation is a direct response to the Videssossian occupation of Hammerhold. Furthermore, the Flame Order was reformed and based in its historical home of Antiera. This is the first time in 40 years the three ancient Chivalric orders, the Knights of the Nest, the Flame Order, and the Templars of Solitude, have been allies.
