Osric Rescues a Fair Maiden

While I want to view the bright side of the world and the fantastic outcome of the death of a tyrant in the process of rescuing this fair elven maiden (who does seem to perhaps be hard of sight or just has poor taste in men). It is with a heavy heart I must also say goodbye to a fellow brave warrior in one Yera umm something or other. A giant of a woman with a real knack for battle if I do say so myself while obviously not up to knightly standards a true warrior and fearsome participant in any battle one I would choose as an ally over an enemy every day. But back to my daring rescue and toppling of a tyrant.   We entered Osset by subterfuge which while against my preferences it was felt necessary to get into the city and get a lay of the land. The lay of the land in this instance was not positive, there were public executions for seemingly no true reason and a great destruction of land and property. Led to believe this was a lawful town I saw men firing at innocent scholars attempting to escape from a flaming building as well as others being hanged in the streets for seemingly existing. As a proud noble of Videssos this wanton slaughter of those who would support my countrymen did not sit right with me but as my masters used to teach you must first understand the enemy to defeat them. Yera managed to find us an in with some local group, a bit rougher than expected and seemingly lacking in manners, who caught us up on the situation of the town. As this occurred it was clear we were dealing with a Tyrant this Gorag Goldcrown clearly an incorrect name as there was no gold in his worth.   While my companions hummed and hawed on how to proceed with one seemingly suggesting raiding the college for unknown reasons we eventually set off to challenge the cretin. Upon approach at the villainous lair with his henchmen at hand Yera and I scared them off interfering as we made our move to the heart of the dangers. Keeping an eye on our less physical companions in the goblin and elder elf Yera and I knew we would need to be the ones to save this city and possibly the continent as a whole. As much as I would like to claim the title of his vanquisher I must confess Yera beat me to the beast in this instance unfortunately resulting in the loss of her life. With the loss of Yera so recent and painful the elven maiden apparently looking for anything to latch onto in this crazy world chose the small goblin Mork who renounced his err faith(?) immediately.

Osric Vs THE Worm

Man that was a rough couple days, found a group in need of assistance due to some aggressive guards in the desert and decided to accompany and assist them as any good knight would do to get them to their destination. The rush of a wedding was an exciting few days nice feast the wedding celebrations are different in this land than back home but they still knew how to party, though many of them were awful dancers. In my quest to complete the goals of all good adventurers I have decided to join this group of Red? Lions and see if in traveling with them I won't become a great hero. The old one though obviously deserving of respect as an elder seems like an odd fellow with a bit too strong of a penchant for dried fruits, perhaps they remind him of something. I begin to question his motives he seems a bit aggressive to practitioners of magic. The large one Yera seems a solid fellow err fella? a bit brash and prone to the drink but quite a powerful combatant. Given the proper tutelage I expect good things from her. The small one seems a bit of a nasty fellow certainly a shady character I don't know that I can trust him much he may need to go for this group to truly become heroes. He seems intent on his belief that the noble bride was interested in him not understanding that commoners and nobles are worlds apart.   Shame about the city guards I didn't want to hurt them but I decided to join this group and they needed assistance, I'll have to try and make amends to their families. We got some assistance in leaving from a nice barman (shame about what happened to him) and an odd smuggler fellow though I wouldn't normally associate with the lower class like this it was an interesting experience. We took carriage to Osset where we were beset upon by a foul worm hundreds of feet long at least but obviously it was no match for me. Many of the guards in the area valiantly gave their lives as I plotted the best time to strike and vanquish the ugly foe. It was a near thing for a time much of the party was scared, excluding myself of course, before I dove straight into the beasts mouth to attack it from the inside. With a clear plan in place slaying it from it's weakened insides was a simple matter thus rescuing all those around.
