The Keepers Council

In the aftermath of the mysterious event known as the Collapse, the once vibrant land of Alyeria descended into chaos. The Prime seals were shattered, magic receded, and corruption spread. Many settlements were leveled and populations displaced.
It was amidst this turmoil, over a century ago, that the Keepers Council first emerged. As survivors from all lands converged on the only city left largely intact, Bravidia, its leaders realized unity and cooperation were needed to survive. Representatives were chosen from among the wisest scholars and elders.

The Keepers

The Keepers Council consists of five eminent masters - one for each elemental domain. Fire Keeper Ignatia Volcanum, a stern human garbed in fiery crimson robes, oversees the distribution of merrite. Water Keeper Marisol Tidesong, an elf adorned with pearls and seafoam green, studies ancient texts and prophecies. Stout dwarf Oroc Hammerstone, in earthen robes, maintains the structural integrity of the Citadel. Vaelin Cloudchaser, a wizened human wielding a carved staff, facilitates communication between settlements. Presiding over all is High Keeper Endora Brightmore, her iridescent vestments hinting at her role in ensuring cooperation and balance. Together, these experienced elemental adepts seek to preserve knowledge and guide humanity in the wake of calamity.
Thus the Keepers Council was formed under the ideal of maintaining equilibrium - both among the elemental forces and between civilization and nature. Their purpose was to preserve knowledge, arbitrate disputes, distribute resources, and guide humanity towards restoring what was lost.
Over the decades, the Keepers Council has helped rebuild Bravidia, including the Great Library and Citadel at its heart. They comb through relic texts to recover history and arcane arts. Their wisdom has turned Bravidia into a bastion of knowledge, crafts, and trade. Other settlements have rallied around the Council's banner of balance.
Yet challenges remain. Prince Galestrom's authoritarian tactics threaten the Council's authority. The wilds around Bravidia grow more corrupted each year. Rumors spread that one of the Prime Avatars has been slain. And the Council's search for a way to reignite magic and rebuild the seals has thus far proven fruitless.
However, the Keepers remain committed to their duty - to stand as stewards of knowledge, guides of the Avatars, and a bulwark against ruin. Their light continues to give the people hope. For in unity and balance, there is strength; in wisdom and patience, there is hope.
