Queen Stonecrush

Queen Beldyn Stonecrush rules the dwarves of Everdelve. She is no stranger to being the bridge between conflicting sides: she is half mountain dwarf and half duergar. Their ancient rivalry shoved her in the middle, and she had to figure a way out. Using the time honored traditions of patience, listening and threatening to hammer anyone who wouldn't shut up, she managed to work out a tenuous truce between both her clans. The duergar don't come up much, so she lives with her mountain dwarf side.
This unique background helped her when Everdelve had to deal with a copper dragon in their territory. Neither dwarf nor dragon wanted to leave, so Beldyn negotiated a peaceful solution: they would combine their wealth and help each other protect it. There were other benefits, such as the dwarves having a dragon at their call and the copper having interesting people to socialize with. The union wasn't a smooth one though. The dragon brought with it their kobold minions, which was a difficult transition for the dwarves.
