Lord Galewhir

A mustachioed gnome with the heart of a shipwright, Valtor Galewhir began his life working to design newer and more efficient ships. He also worked on diving equipment, nets and other gear but his favorite projects were always the boats. Whenever he had a new design, he would twirl his handlebar mustache in though, get a glint in his eye, and start making blueprints. He's had a few stinkers(note to self: a mast mounted cannon is a bad idea, it just snaps the mast off and the cannonball barely makes it off the ship), but he's also responsible for some of the standard designs used by the Caripearl navy. When he accrued enough money, he started his own ship company. One rags to riches story later, Galewhir is a well known name in ships. Even other kingdoms use his boats.
Being a boat magnate in a naval city has given him plenty of resources, and he has used them to gain political power, and has eventually risen to prominence as one of, if not the, most influential and powerful people in Caripearl. Because of this, the plutocracy of Caripearl has granted him the title of Lord. He also has a small fleet under his personal command. His flagship, The Horizon Finder, is where he spends a large portion of his time. It's fully outfitted as a floating mansion, with a grand bedroom, a master kitchen, half a dozen entertainment rooms and more. When he does dock and go ashore, his favorite place is his workshop. It started out as almost a shack, but through various expansions and upgrades it has become a large building filled with gadgets and gizmos and blueprints.
