Isliah
A highly industrial kingdom housed on a peninsula. The capital, also called Isliah, is on the end of the peninsula. Here is where the heart of Isliah's industry beats. The factories, the refineries, the nobility, there's lots of important things there. But it is not the only place of importance on the peninsula. On the southern coast, there is a communal graveyard. All the dead in the kingdom are buried there. How could a necromancer resist? A dark cult certainly couldn't. A necromantic cult has taken up residence in Darkspire, and has been doing nefarious things. They are doing these horrible things in a ziggurat beyond the desert to the south. To the north, there is a second darkness. An enclave of vampires from Grimspeak have set up in old ruins, a haven to escape persecutions by the other undead.
Not everything outside the capital is evil though. There are a few towns where the peninsula's resources are harvested. Southeast of the vampire enclave there is a small forest with a treant protector. Lumberjacks harvest the forest, but make sure to take responsibly, as to not anger the treant. Near the heart of the peninsula is a mining and quarry town, next to a chasm leading down into the earth. This chasm brings up most of the stone and metal that Isliah uses.
One individual of note who is not technically nobility is Pride Levistus. He is basically a Beverly Hillbilly: he has no business being here, but he's rich so he has power. A tiefling, his blood was primed for magic which occurred after an alchemical accident. He was talking with his alchemist friend, when he drank a potion he wasn't supposed to. This potion unlocked his magical potential. In a violent, explosive way, but his sorcerous power was unlocked.
