Heaven

Heaven, also referred to as the Celestial Plane, the Upper Plane, or Paradisio, is the plane of celestial order above Rubicon. It is inhabited by celestials and home to large airspaces and beautiful mountain ranges.

Perception

Nearly all celestials are taught about both Rubicon and Hell during childhood education. Most celestials believe Rubicon to be a tragic wasteland, but some see it as either a freedom from the Celestial Circles or a complete waste of time and energy. Many consider it as a vulnerability to Hell, that if Hell takes advantage of Rubicon they will be at greater risk.   Celestials consider Hell to be a place of brutes, thugs, and uncivilized barbaric peoples. They consider the High Devils to be a semblance of real order among a sea of gang-like Demon Lords that struggle for control over the plane. Many think of its inhabitants as either poor souls born into a system that shapes them into monsters, some think Hell’s inhabitants are just naturally horrible and violent. Very few compare the similarities of Heaven and Hell openly.   Rubicon mostly views Heaven as a paradise. Plenty believe that reincarnation in Heaven is a reward for good behavior and morality, others believe that their soul will be repurposed for good if they die with allegiance to Heaven. Rubiconians see angels as saviors and protectors, and though they are largely unaware of the extent of the war the standard rubiconian would side with an angel over a devil or demon.   Hell views Heaven as a tyrannical oligarchy headed by a distant, uncaring God. They blame Heaven for their current state and think of its inhabitants as ignorant bystanders at best, or deliberate abusers at worst. They think of the Celestial Circles as oppressive, and demons in particular fight against similar forms of rule in Hell.

Terrain and Ecology

Heaven contains many biomes you can visit in the real world, but overall has a mild and temperate overall climate. The major difference between Heaven’s terrain and the other planes is the large pockets of empty air within the plane. Continents in Heaven are separated by air rather than water; bodies of water still exist within the continents, the plane is rather humid and can sustain jungles and wetlands just fine, but there is no water-filled ocean separating continents. Within these airspaces live the kindori (see below), and any of Heaven’s inhabitants that cannot fly travel between the continents using airships or other floating vehicles. There are significant wind currents in these airspaces that allow for little effort to be made flying between continents, making true flight possible for any race that usually only has limited flight. The most plentiful biomes are mountainous. Most continents have tall, jagged peaks; some aloft islands are entirely cliff-like.   The majority of animal life in Heaven are avians or other aerial creatures. Some notably landlocked creatures include unicorns and heavenly beasts (catch-all name for celestial monsters and beasts), but otherwise most animals in Heaven have some form of flight.   If you are curious what groups of people live in what biomes or ecosystems, see the race page for more details about each specific cultural group.

Central Deity

Heaven's central deity is a much more mysterious figure than Hell's central deity. They are most commonly referred to as Elohim by most inhabitants, but have been referred to as Adonai, Yaweh, or Yeshua as well. Many simply refer to them as God. They have existed for longer than Heaven's recorded history and are speculated to have existed before all else. They have no known avatars or physical representations, and any who have had direct contact or communication with Elohim describe them vastly differently each time; often, they are described as imperceivable or cloaked in blinding light. Plenty claim to have met Elohim disguised as a random humanoid, but no claims have been truly verified and the First Circle tends to shut down these discussions. Their motivations are also not very well understood, but it is agreed that they generally desire a world of good and people who do good things and they work to make that a reality through the Celestial Circles.

Sapient Inhabitants

The playable races native to or regularly inhabiting Heaven are aasimon, jerut, celestial jinnasi, warforged, centaurs, alityrs, and coatlins. Please check out the race page for more details on these races and their cultures.   The non-playable* groups in Heaven consist of aahura, alicorns, coatls, and kindori.

Aahura

Aahura are a group of strong celestials who generally make up the Second Celestial Circle. They are not one race in particular; any race can be an aahura, it is mostly a title that denotes strength, power, and social respect. Around thirty percent of Heaven’s population are aahura. An aahura can be powerful enough and well known enough to grant power to warlocks who pact with them or sorcerers born from their lineage, but this is only true for the strongest of the aahura.   Aahura are often in greater positions of power than other celestials. They tend to be officers, managers, community leaders, or in some other position of authority. Many aahura are also referred to as dominions, virtues, or powers depending on their role in heaven: dominions are Heaven’s middle management or generally have legal authority, virtues are community leaders or generally have social authority, and powers are officers or generally have enforcement authority.   *If I allow a player to be an aahura, it will be at decreased power and mostly detached from any community they were once a part of. This is the tamest of the “non-playable exceptions”, but is still something I will deal with on an individual basis.

Amesha

Amesha are a group of powerful celestials that have been altered to a higher form by Elohim. They are not one race in particular; any race can be an amesha, the title is gained by being transformed by great dedication to Elohim and gaining a higher form. These creatures then become physically warped, becoming difficult or even impossible to perceive without also being an amesha; to others, they appear as a mass of eyes, wings, or limbs, changing and shining with a brilliant light that makes their form hard to focus on. Individuals have also been referred to as seraphims, cherubims, or thrones depending on how people percieve them; seraphims are often a mass of wings, cherubims are percieved with mist or cloudy cover, and thrones are seen as layers of rings and eyes. Most amesha have the ability to hide their true form and semi retain their old image, but none can truly reclaim their old form.   The transformation into an amesha also grants an individual extreme power, often in the form of divination magic, at the cost of eternal servitude to Elohim. Most amesha are motivated to serve Elohim first and the world right after, using their magic to help others and, from their perspective, make the world a better place.   *If I allow a player to be an amesha, it will be at greatly decreased power and detached from any community they were once a part of. Thus, there are no specific stats for a player amesha and I will deal with that on an individual basis.

Alicorns

Alicorn is the catch-all term for the sapient equine creatures of Heaven. These include unicorns, pegasi, winged unicorns, and ki rin. They mature at around 10 years old and live to be around 500 when mortal. These mostly have their own communities, but despite their equine physical nature they are not social creatures. Most alicorns have their own individual territories in Heaven that they control and do not share with more than a few other alicorns. They tend to share this territory with humanoid communities and can even become fond or protective of said communities, but tend to see these groups as lesser in some way; either they are not a threat to their territory, they are less experienced and vulnerable, or they are more like pets or little critters to the alicorn.   *These will mostly be unplayable. Generally, balancing a non-humanoid is kind of annoying, but this is more feasible than a fairy to me atm. If someone REALLY wants to play a unicorn, it will be at greatly reduced power and disconnected from their territory and you will be treated like an anomaly wherever you go. I really recommend playing a humanoid who is truly a shape-shifted unicorn in disguise instead, or playing an alityr if you only want the aesthetic.

Coatls

Coatls are flying, serpent-like draconids that reside in Heaven. I have an entire page on draconids, so read about Coatls there.

Kindori

Kindori are massive flying whales that inhabit the airspace of Heaven. They can grow up to a length of up to 80 ft, have a row of small glowing eyes on either sides of their snouts, have multiple sets of large sail-like fins, have fluffy underbellies and chins, and have flat keratin plates on their backs. Various species of mold, moss, and other small plant life tend to grow between the keratin plates and attached to the fur of kindori, attracting a small ecosystem of scavenging birds and other small flying herbivores and their most mobile predators. They mature at around 50 years old and live to be around 400 when mortal.   Kindori are extremely intelligent. They keep themselves afloat mostly by psychic force and by following the natural air currents that fill Heaven's airspace. Some kindori allow humanoids to ride on their backs, or in rare cases set up permanent structures if they are harmonious with the kindori. They are known for loving music and song, and will happily enjoy music coming from passing ships or sing along.   *These will just be unplayable. I don’t want to deal with allowing full flight for exploration or other hazards or balance out what that would look like, or deal with that size in general (combat or otherwise). I may allow for a player to play a humanoid-shape-shifted Kindori, but you better give me a very compelling reason, and you will still be at greatly decreased power and detached from any community they were once a part of. And there will likely be no place in the campaign where you will be allowed to resume full-on whale form.

Politics

Heaven is controlled by a hierarchical group of angels known as the Celestial Circles. There are three circles; the First, Second, and Third circles. These circles are ultimately controlled by Elohim. Individuals can be banished from a circle for various reasons, most often due to a committed crime. The circles are described as follows:
  • The Third Circle contains most celestials and is essentially the common folk of Heaven. They have little authority, but as native celestials, they have greater rights in Heaven than outsiders or those that have been banished from the circle. If you are banished from the Third Circle, you are treated as a foreigner in Heaven.
  • The Second Circle contains most aahura and amesha, and is essentially the closest level of command to the common people. These are generals, most politicians, or the rare case where an individual is born into the circle (often sorcerers or other prodigies). There is controversy about how much of the circle is there by genuine strength or worth and how many are there because of their social connections, but for the most part the individuals in the second circle are strong enough to prove their position. Some are powerful enough to grant strength to warlocks or sorcerers, but most are not. If you are banished from the Second Circle, you are returned to the Third Circle.
  • The First Circle contains the strongest of the aahura and amesha, and is essentially the highest command in Heaven. These are an elite caste of individuals elected to the circle and are never born into the position. Their authority is challenged by election every 50 years. They are responsible for creating and changing law, organizing mass efforts for the war, deciding public projects, and deciding the guilt or innocence of those charged with crimes and their sentences. If you are banished from the First Circle, or simply not elected, you are returned to the Second Circle.
Most of the plane is educated on the infinite war. Celestials understand that the efforts of the war are for control over Hell; they believe that Hell is causing its inhabitants to suffer and the souls it collects to suffer for immoral end goals. They believe that the eventual goal is to bring Hell’s inhabitants under the command of the Celestial Circles to fix the internal warfare and bloodshed rampant in the plane, and repurpose the souls collected by Hell for greater things. Most celestials simply believe Hell would be better off under Heaven’s watch.   The Celestial Circles abide by a loose set of universal laws built around a list of Sins and Virtues. Inhabitants of Heaven are supposed to live by the Heavenly Virtues and avoid partaking in the Deadly Sins; what specific acts do or do not qualify as a certain sin or a virtue is decided by the First Circles, and I won't make an entire constitution here. The Heavenly Virtues are humility, charity, chastity, gratitude, temperance, patience, and diligence. Each of these are said be used to overcome the corresponding Deadly Sins: pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, and sloth.

History

The earliest records for the entirety of Heaven explain that the plane was once home to all of Heaven and Hell's races and creatures. The Celestial Circles were always in control, and there is no record of a time where they were not or known record of how and why they were created; it is assumed this system has been around as long as Elohim, thus potentially before time itself. Hell, at this time, was under Heaven's control and was home to both plane's residents as well.   According to Heaven's accounts, Hell's rebellion was lead by an amesha who committed treason against Elohim and the First Circle. He had gathered support in the shadows and caught the Celestial Circles by suprise; it is unclear how he gained true divine status over Hell, but he used his newfound state as the primary deity of the lower plane to force out Heaven's enforcement and claim the plane for himself.   The Infinite War began diplomatically, with Heaven's forces attempting to bargain with Hell's new society for cooperation. They vehemently and violently refused, and began waging literal war against any of Heaven's forces who attempted landfall in Hell. Thus, Heaven returned the violence with their own attacks in an attempt to force Hell's angered and passionate inhabitants to see reason. Ever since, Heaven has been trying to regain control of it's ex-citizens and the lower plane, believing it to be founded on sin and crime and a hazard to the world Elohim wishes to create.   Rubicon only became involved relatively recently. The First Circle caught wind that Hell's inhabitants had been tempting rubiconians into doing their bidding to recieve souls from it's dead; until then, Heaven had not concerned itself with Rubicon or it's resources. In an effort to equalize the playing field, Heaven laucnhed their own attempts at convincing rubiconians to dedicate themselves to Heaven: they advised the middle plane's inhabitants that Hell would only offer their souls torment and pain, and Hell's meddling has already caused so many lives to suffer; instead, if they followed Elohim's example and dedicated themselves to Heaven and the forces of good, their souls would see salvation and the infinite paradise of Heaven.   Heaven was the first to create an Eye and a clergy of Sages. It is unclear how exactly the Right Eye came to be, but many claim that Elohim themself conjured it into existence using a power native to Rubicon. The Sages began as the first group to truly dedicate themselves to Heaven and protect the Eye, preaching to Rubicon about the salvation they will find with Heaven; today, they continue this legacy more secretively and away from rubicon's public gaze.

Notable Locations

I won’t be making a map of Heaven, but you are more than welcome to visit the plane during your adventures. The following list is a collection of well known locations, cities, air expanses, and rumored locations in Heaven to fuel any interest you may have in exploring the plane.

Elysium

Points of Interest: The city Olympus.
Elysium is an archipelago of small islands in Heaven primarily inhabited by aasimon populations. The culture of Elysium is primarily inspired by mycenaean Greece and ancient Rome. The population of Elysium is vastly majority aasimon, with 85% of the islands being aasimon. The islands are also well known for being a popular tourist location, housing several large cities full of touristy locations that generate the majority of the archipelago’s revenue. There are many local airship services that accommodate any non-flying visitors, and some of the closer islands have large rope bridges connecting the land masses.
The islands of Elysium have a temperate, storm-heavy climate and are mostly composed of temperate broadleaf forests and mediterranean forests. The islands, like most islands in Heaven, have an inclining, mountain-like shape that peaks towards the center and drops in altitude towards the edges of the islands. The city of Olympus is situated on the peak of the archipelago’s largest mountain. Olympus is known for its large amount of tourism, its gladiatorial entertainment industry, and its impressive marble architecture.

Aaru

Points of Interest: The city Waset, the pyramids Jedefri and Menkaure, the lake Nile.
Aaru is a large island continent in Heaven primarily inhabited by jerut populations. The culture of the island is heavily inspired by ancient Egyptian culture. Towns and cities in Aaru are overwhelmingly jerut; less than 10% of the island’s population is not jerut and/or doesn’t come from a traditional jerut background. This monoculture is so deeply established that the locals are distinguishable even among other jerut cultures for their distinct local dialect.
The island has a dry and warm climate, covered primarily in a savannah-like biome. The island, like most islands in Heaven, has an inclining, mountain-like shape that peaks towards the center and drops in altitude towards the edges of the island. A large recursive lake surrounds the city of Waset in the island’s center. Waset is known for its impressive sandstone architecture, the two large pyramid structures in the center of the city, the inhabitants’ rigorous religious practices, and the diligent legal system that draws in the majority of the city’s foreign travel.

Xanadu

Points of Interest: The city Ptolei, the library Mouseion, the everlasting waterfall.
Xanadu is an average sized island continent in Heaven primarily inhabited by jinnasi populations. The island’s culture is inspired by a mix of Greek, Roman, and Egyptian cultures during the classical era. Xanadu has historically been dominated by water jinnasi tradition, but the involvement of the island’s dominion, Matriel, with the air jinnasi has encouraged the island’s recent shift in cultural expression and values towards a mix of the two. Still, the majority of the towns and cities on Xanadu are culturally water jinnasi. The population is around 50% water jinnasi, 20% air jinnasi, 10% aasimon, and 20% other.
The island has a wet and warm climate; it would be more dry if not for Matriel’s influence on the island. Xanadu is covered primarily in wet meadows and fens. It was once a relatively flat island, but has gradually sloped inward with rain erosion, creating a massive circular valley, creating a gentle bowl-like shape and a permanent waterfall underneath the island flowing from the man-made drainage in the center of the bowl. The city of Ptolei sits in-between the middle of the island and the edge, nestled in a wet meadow expanse. Ptolei is most well known for the massive library, the Mouseion, run by the dominion Matriel herself. The library is said to contain the most expansive collection of literature across all the planes; Matriel has faced criticism for keeping any written or drawn books, scrolls, or other form of physical media she can in the Mouseion, even what residents call “fiendish propaganda”. Despite the controversy, many travelers seek the Mouseion out for this exact reason.

Asirat

Points of Interest: The city Vaikun, the mountain range Karokaram.
Asirat is a large island continent in Heaven primarily inhabited by aasimon populations. The culture of Asirat is primarily inspired by a mixture of Indian and southern Spanish culture during the early-high middle ages. Though the population of Asirat is majority aasimon, at around 40% of the population, there is a large faun (around 30%) and centaur population (around 15%) on the island. Asirat was once known for being home to the largest collection of war protestors and Hell sympathizers in Heaven, but the island has seen a drastic switch to supporting war efforts and a vocal hatred of Hell due to the local politician and dominion, Hayagriva.
The island is split roughly down the middle by a sharp mountain range, dividing the island into one dry and one wet ecosystem. The dry side of the island features mostly tropical dry forests and thorn woodlands, whereas the wet side of the island is mostly composed of mediterranean coniferous forests. The island, like most islands in Heaven, has an inclining, mountain-like shape that peaks towards the center and drops in altitude towards two sides of the island. The city of Vaikun is positioned on the dry side of the island in the middle of a dry scrub. The city is known for having wide roads and a relatively large distance between buildings to support the centaur population in the city, uncommon even among other high-density centaur cities and towns. Otherwise, the city has seen a drastic decline in foreign traffic ever since Hayagriva was appointed dominion. Those that do travel to the city often do so for political rallies or debates hosted by the city.

Jebel

Points of Interest: The city Capella.
Jebel is a small island continent in Heaven populated by a variety of races and cultures. The continent is known for being a melting pot of cultures, all adopted by the virtue Amalthea who governs the island. There is a massive variety of races and cultures on the island, even some rubiconian and fiendish races and cultures have taken root on the island.
Jebel is entirely composed of a mixed oak forest. The island is hilly, though compared to most islands in Heaven it is relatively flat. It is home to only one city, the massive city of Capella. The city is home to dozens of small districts that house the city’s varied population, as well as a magical grove home to the unicorn Amalthea herself. Any inhabitant of the city has been invited by Amalthea personally to live there, as she “adopts” the residents herself. No foreign travelers, outside of those recently adopted by Amalthea, are permitted to enter the island territory.

Pheryll

Points of Interest: The city Affaraon, the Wyrm Tower.
Pheryll is an average sized island continent in Heaven primarily inhabited by aasimon populations. The culture of Pheryll is primarily inspired by a mixture of old celtic and welsh cultures. The population of Pheryll is majority aasimon at around 50% of the population; there is also a significant faun population at around 20% of the total population on the island. Most notably, there is a small coatlin community spawned by the island's large guivre population. The island is governed by two ancient guivres, Nihug the white wyrm and Dacian the red wyrm; they are matriarch and patriarch (respectively) of the guivre and coatlin population on Pheryll.
Pheryll has a cold, dry climate and is composed of mostly montane grasslands and meadows, but it also hosts a diverse cave ecosystem within the island itself. The island is very tall and iceberg-shaped; the majority of the landmass is found underneath the island’s surface topography. Several cave entrances can be found underneath the island, where most of the guivres reside. The city of Affaraon sits on the edge of the island near the largest cave entrance on Pheryll. Nihug and Dacian live underneath the city at the mouth of the large cave system. Affaraon is most well known for the tower that sits in the center of the city, named Wyrm Tower after the coatls below the city. This tower is a school of high magic, renowned for its powerful wizard alumni.

Nohtun

Points of Interest: The city Asgard, the Bifrost Production Plant, the split peaks.
Nohtun is a large island continent in Heaven primarily inhabited by aasimon populations. The culture of Nohtun is primarily inspired by ancient Norse culture. The population of Nohtun is majority aasimon at around 60% of the population; there is also a significant warforged population at around 30% of the total population on the island. All warforged present on the island come from the Bifrost Production Plant in Asgard. Nohtun is also recognized as one of the oldest inhabited continents in Heaven’s history, containing structures from nearly forgotten eras. Historians from across Heaven come to Nohtun to study Heaven’s ancient, eons-old history.
The island has a wet and cold climate, covered primarily in boreal forests. The island, like most islands in Heaven, has an inclining, mountain-like shape that peaks towards the center and drops in altitude towards the edges of the island. Unlike most islands in Heaven, the mountain range in the center of the island is partially split down the middle, forming a pseudo-glacial valley down the middle of the island where accumulated snow builds into glacier-like structures and slides off either end of the island. The city Asgard is located on the edge of the island, near the glacial valley. Asgard is most well known for the Bifrost Production Plant; the plant is the largest warforged production plant in Heaven, and is known for the pillars of billowing steam, emerging from the top of the facility, that appear rainbow colored from the light shining through the steam clouds. All warforged produced at this facility bear the BPP sigil somewhere on their bodies to show where they were produced.

Chichen

Points of Interest: Unknown.
Chichen is a small island continent in Heaven. Its location is unknown to most inhabitants of Heaven, but the island is confirmed to exist because of its protector, the quetzal and cherubim Ku'kul'kan. Many say that the island’s location changes, teleported by Ku’kul’kan to keep it hidden, others believe the island is just so far from normal Heaven traffic that it evades travelers. The only individuals who live on Chichen alongside Ku'kul'kan are his chosen people, referred to by themselves as the Chichen peoples; most outsiders refer to them as the "cult of Ku'kul'kan".
Ku'kul'kan himself describes the island as having a rainforest-like climate and ecology. The island is coated in a magical mist, causing any individuals who do happen to find the island to become lost and potentially causes them to walk off the edge of the island or into tunnels within the rock leading to airspace. On top of this, Ku'kul'kan describes the island as prone to wild arcane storms that Ku'kul'kan himself claims he doesn’t control. Those that have Ku'kul'kan’s blessing do not perceive the mist in the same way; supposedly, they are able to navigate the legendary island with relative ease.

Mag Mell Expanse

The Mag Mell expanse is a notable airway in Heaven containing the continents Nohtun, Pheryll, and Jebel; the winds in this expanse promote temperate-to-cool climates and are generally low in intense storming. The majority of ship traffic in this expanse is resource transport, mainly importing soul matter to Nohtun.

Thunderhead Expanse

The Thunderhead expanse is a notable airway in Heaven containing the continents Elysium and Xanadu; the winds in this expanse promote temperate-to-warm climates. The expanse gets its name from the intense storming that permeates the airway; the majority of airships that travel through the expanse are required to check the stability of their vehicles and be piloted by individuals with Storm licenses in order to ensure safe travel through the expanse. The majority of ship traffic in this expanse is tourist transport. The expanse is also home to the virtue Levias.

Asphodel Expanse

The Asphodel expanse is a notable airway in Heaven containing the continents Aaru and Asirat; the winds in this expanse promote warm climates and are generally arid. The majority of ship traffic in this expanse is local travel, though there is less than average air traffic in this expanse in general.

Rocabarraig

The island Rocabarraig is a myth in Heaven and is not confirmed to exist. The island is described as a phantom island, and is mostly considered a scary story to keep young aasimon from flying off too far from their islands. Legend has it that the island is cursed; any who lay eyes on the phantom island are doomed to wither and die, and any who set foot on the island never return. Not much else is known about the island.

Penglai

The island Penglai is a myth in Heaven and is not confirmed to exist. The island is described as a sleek mountainous island where everything is made of white marble, clear crystal, and gold. It is said to be the most pure place in Heaven, swarming with divine magic and heavenly beasts. Not much else is known about the island.

Hub Page

Important Figures

For now, this is a complete list. These can changed, be renamed, or be added to as people create characters or ideas come to me. They are directly ripped from or inspired by angels and deities in theology or history; feel free to request any additional figures either for your character or just for fun.

Amesha Gabriel Absalom

The seraphim Gabriel is a planetar aasimar well known throughout Heaven for being the “right hand of Elohim”. He is a member of the First Circle and has been almost guaranteed a spot in the circle due to his notoriety. He is not literally in communication with Elohim at all times, but he is well respected for carrying out the closest interpretation of Elohim’s will as possible. He treats himself as a messenger of Elohim’s word and, while he doesn’t often enforce Elohim’s word himself, can use the great power of an amesha as needed. He travels Heaven as a messenger of Elohim and does not reside in any one city or state.

Aahura Anubis Senusret

The power Anubis is a jackal jerut infamous for being a strict judge within the First Circle. He is not always within this circle (he currently is) as most consider him intimidating and strict. Still, many also consider him a cruel necessity to keep Heaven's sin rate low; he is a controversial topic during election season for that reason. His specialty is what he calls "weighing the soul"; he has powerful divination magic that he uses to assess the actions and choices of those he judges to determine whether or not their sins are "too heavy". He resides in the city Waset and acts as a member of the local judicial system if he is not enacting the First Circle's wishes elsewhere.

Aahura Matriel Eno

The dominion Matriel is a water jinnasi known for her massive library, the Mouseion, located in the valley-island of Ptolei. She keeps the valley misty or rainy constantly for fear of a fire rampaging through her library. This makes the maintenance of the building and its contents more difficult, but overall her intentions are benign. She is primarily focused on the library's knowledge and contents, but also seeks teaching others and encourages people to come and learn as much as they can. She currently resides within her library and watches over the small city built around it.

Aahura Hayagriva Kashyapa

The dominion Hayagriva is a marwari centaur known for their greater-than-average enthusiastic crusade against sin and Hell. They speak against Hell constantly and are responsible for the more uptight and strict perception of Heaven's stance on virtue. They host speeches campaigning against Hell and their disrespect of the virtues, hoping for a seat in the First Circle to act on what they believe (of course, without setting foot on Rubicon themselves), but have yet to be elected into the circle. They currently act in the local government of the city Vaikun.

Aahura Amalthea Farrow

The virtue Amalthea is a unicorn known for ruling over Capella, the largest city governed by a non-humanoid. The city itself is home to many different races, all "adopted" by Amalthea (or family of these individuals). She consideres the city's inhabitants her adopted children and her responsibility; she cares for them greatly, though some accuse her of seeing the inhabitants more as pets than children. She is much more wary of outsiders or those not connected to her residents, and it takes time for her to decide if an individual is in need of "being adopted". Inversely, she is very protective of her city's residents and frets whenever her residents leave for any reason (though she rarely tries to stop them outright). She currently governs the city Capella.

Amesha Ku'kul'kan K'ur'Chon

The cherubim Ku'kul'kal is a quetzal coatl that resides on the mostly isolated island Chichen. The only individuals who live alongside Ku'kul'kan are his chosen people, referred to by themselves as the Chichen peoples, but outsiders refer to them as the "cult of Ku'kul'kan". The island is impossible to navigate without Ku'kul'kan's blessing, as the magical mist that he covers the island in causes individuals to become lost and potentially causes them to walk off the edge of the island or into tunnels within the rock leading to airspace. Ku'kul'kan is known to be tricky and cruel, but not irrational; if you gain his blessing, you are welcome on the island with his people and he will protect you while you are there. He currently stays on his island, and is often elected into the First Cirlce in order to maintain coatl representation within the circle (he is currently in the First Circle).

Aahura Levias Loftwynne

The virtue Levias is a kindori known for traveling to popular airshore cities to watch concerts and perform himself. He is very proud of his voice, but adores seeing others perform and will happily give up his spot in a concert to allow others a place to perform. He performs opera-like ballads in low tones. His most frequetly visited airspace is the Thunderhead Expanse, but he travels to many other airspaces as well.
