Demographics

Vose is a multi-ethnic city, with traders and settlers from all of Ovolyn's neighbouring provinces travelling to Vose for the many opportunities it provides.

Whilst humans are the largest demographic in Vose, there is a lower proportional population of humans than in other Ovolysh cities and towns. There are large populations of elves, dwarves, fey, halflings, and genasi in the city as well.

However, many of these emigrating into Vose soon join the masses at the bottom of the class ladder. Despite its opulent reputation, there is major wealth inequality between the neighbourhoods in Vose, with little ability to move within wealth bands.

Government

Vose is governed by the Ovolysh High Council, whose headquarters lie in the centre of the city. Maybe of the High Council's concerns deal directly with Vose's interests and problems, as the hub of Ovolysh trade and advancement.

Industry & Trade

Vose is the hub of innovation within Ovolyn. Many of the technological advancements that have put Ovolyn on the world stage were discovered and crafted within the city. Thus, there is a large number of engineers, technicians, inventors, and craftsmen working within the city.

Infrastructure

Vose infrastructure is the most up-to-date in all of Ovolyn, and very much disparite from Ovolysh countryside. Within the last decade, automobile tracks have taken over the city, which also has many ports for the most recent Ovolysh venture - aerovehicles.

Districts

Vose is split into six neighbourhoods, each with their own distinct character.

On the outskirts of the city are:

• The Commons - The area where the largest populus of the city live. The neighbourhoods in the Commons are much more rundown, highly policed, and underfunded Petty crime is more pervasive, however, there is a sense of community within the Commons and a much more diverse demongraphic of characters cohabitating in the crampt quarters.

• The Docks - Although Vose only backs a small lake, the docks are of vital importance. This district holds many of the warehouses and factory faciltiies within the city, as well as acting as a port and testing centre for new technology. Some criminal-run organisations also gravitate towards this district.

In the middle ring of the city are:

• The Bazaar - Home of all merchantile ventures and embassies into Vose. The Bazaar is the liveliest district in Vose, habitating many of the travellers and traders entering in and out of the city. It also is home to many of the cities restaurants, inns, and pubs, as well as the largest marketplace in Ovolyn.

• The Church Quarter - The district of the Gathering of Araoni. Whilst the religion has places of worship within each district of Vose, the Church Quarter holds the largest holy place within Ovolyn, and is home to the Holy Order of Ovolyn.

In the centre of the city are:

• The Estates - Large housing estates that are home to the wealthiest and most powerful inhabitants of the city. Seperate nightlife scenes can be found in the communal space of the estates, which leads into the hub of the city.

• The Hub - The home of governance in Vose. The headquarters of the High Council are situated in the Hub, alongside many other notable businesses. The Hub is connected to the other districts through the highspeed automobile railway.
