Saif (S-eye-eef)

Demographics

Saif is the home of the richest and most powerful inhabitants of the empire. The prosperous community often work as merchants, court officials, military figures, and artists, and many live off of their generational wealth. Saif is also the home of the emperor and his family, who hold large estates within the city. Saif is entirely a human civilisation, and almost every other race is expelled from the city, unless a particularly powerful or influential person.

Government

Saif is controlled, as the whole empire is, by the Emperor Fahd III. As the seat of his power, much of the policy making centres Saif, and he largely leaves his advisers in charge of the lower scale day-to-day administration of the imperial properties.

Infrastructure

Saif is built on a large expanse of land in the heart of the empire. It's a true utopia for all its many, wealthy, inhabitants. It has everything that anyone could every think to want, including large water pools, enlongated walkways, courtyards, galleries, ballrooms, transportation terminals, bathhouses, markets, and so on.

Districts

Saif is divided into three districts, going from the heart of the city, the inner ring, to the middle and outer rings. Each ring has its own provisions and transportation terminals, and travel between the rings is fairly simple.

The outer ring is the home of many of the merchants, traders, and tourist locations in the city. This ring also holds many of the larger, commercial buildings as well as religious temples, bathhouses, and theatres. The Saif market is mostly in the outer ring.

The middle ring is home to the wealthiest members of the Khronid Empire. The imperial advisors often live within the middle ring, as well as visiting leaders from other countries, and the top military officials of the Khronid Empire. The middle ring also is home to the large ballrooms used by high society.

The inner ring is solely for the Emperor's use only. This is where the imperial family lives, and the home of their many, expansive estates. It is heavily guarded, and is assessible by invitation only.
