Session 48: Into the Wormcrawl Fissure
General Summary
The Vandals fresh from their fight with the ancient red Dragon slip out of the Citadel of Weeping Dragons. With Kongen-Thulnir above them, Fedi casts the spell needed for the Vandals to head to their personal demiplane. Here they rest up and recover after their adventure in the Citadel of Weeping Dragons. The next morning now refreshed our Vandals begin their flight towards the Wormcrawl Fissure.
Arriving at the Wormcrawl Fissure, Fedi finds a strange pull towards the North-West. The Vandals decide to follow this pull for now to investigate the region. It takes our Vandals a couple of hours flying in the rift and they are ambushed by four undead Chimeras. The aerial battle is quite simple for our Vandals. They continue on until the find a rift in the canyon. Inside are caves and as Fedi continues to lead the Vandals in the search of this pulling feeling they are attacked by a small pack of Titan sized centipedes. As they work at killing them the Vandals are ambushed by a Ulgurstasta that feels far more intelligent compared to the one they had faced the previous summer in the Championship Games in Cloudbreach. Defeating this powerful foe the Vandals finish investigating the rest of the cave. They end up finding a bottomless purse among a large collection of treasure which seems to be giving off that pulling feeling. When Fedi touches it she finds a new pull this time towards the south-east. Investigating the purse further Fedi realizes a part of a soul is grafted into the very fabric of the purse. It remains to be seen why this partial spirit has reached out to our Vandals of Fate, but the spirit does not feel evil.
