Session 30: Blood of a Champion
General Summary
With the announcement made by Loris Raknian he is enveloped in a green flame, moments later the flames subsided to show a large armored black knight with green flames for eyes. The Knight summons a Nightmare with green flames and mounts it before taking to the skies. Once they are in the air they are enveloped in green flame once more and disappear without a trace. However their is a more pressing concern the Ulgurstasta, the Apostle of Kyuss.
Our Ratcatchers open combat with the Ulgurstasta and quickly discover the large worm like creature is quite difficult to kill. Thankfully with our Ratcatchers they are able to corner it and widdle it down until the final blow is dealt. Auric is healed up by Kretzle and with that the tournament draws to a close despite the interruption at the end. Talabir Welik the announcer of the games happily hands over the winning prize to the Vandals of Fate while Auric hands over the Championship Belt to Koris. The Ratcatchers return to the Crooked House where they party and rest after the long week they have had.
The next day the Ratcatchers hit the city to spend their rewards, they spend the entire day upgrading their magical gear. Meanwhile Elora is approached by a venerable Dwarf named Mildred Irondrake who wishes for Elora to test one of his new inventions. A cartridge loaded rifle where the bullets are pre-loaded with the black powder. This allows the rifle to chamber many shots before having to reload once more. Elora seeing the benefits of this rifle quickly agrees to test the rifle and report back to Mildred Irondrake with her impressions of the gun.
As the day comes to a close our Ratcatchers begin to wonder about Eligos so they pay a visit to him that evening. Unfortunately they find Eligos and his man-servant murdered. They find the notes they had left Eligos and with Eligo's own additions as well as a letter addressed to Allustan. Eligos says that the research must be taken to their one time master. With not knowing who this is our Ratcatchers now must travel to Cragmire to seek out Allustan. For the fate of the world is at stake.
