Admiral Tajo Kreutzhof

Admiral Tajo Berkhou Kreutzhof (a.k.a. The Tyrant of the Shipyards)

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Kreutzhof is in good-enough shape but is no ground combatant. Several revitalization treatments have kept the Admiral looking about sixty years old instead of his actual two century age.

Body Features

The Admiral's body was beginning to show it's wear before his defeat, but the injuries he sustained seems to have exacerbated them. He has lost an ear, along with one leg and one eye which have been replaced by cybernetics.

Personal history

Born into a wealthy naval family outside the sector, Tajo Kreutzhof practically had a place for him in life guaranteed. Joining the naval academy at thirteen with years of physical training before then from his family, he was set for success. Despite this, Tajo came off as a "problem cadet" at the academy, having issues cooperate with others and respect the authority. The young naval cadet would be punished over and over until he was bloodied and battered, but the young Kreutzhof did not relent. These acts only changed when there was a Commissar who toured the academy. Much to the surprise of the cadet's commanders, Kreutzhof seemed to actually respect and look up to this Commissar. For that, the boy was almost transferred to a Schola Progenium but the commissar denied the request. After the Commissar's departure, Kreutzhof's behavior changed drastically. The rebellion in the boy's heart was still there, but now he was driven to become a voidship captain.
After graduating at age twenty-five, Kreutzhof was assigned to the voidship Fidelitas Gamma as a lieutenant commander - second in command of the vessel. He would serve alongside them well for thirty years until a battle above a rebellious planet forced the lieutenant commander into greater action. A stray missile from an insurgent ship tore the bridge to shreds, along with everyone in the room at the time. Kreutzhof took command and led his meager fleet to victory against the larger rebel force. This was written as a resounding victory in the after-action report, but many crew member accounts detail the conditions Kreutzhof forced them into as hellish - even more so than a normal engagement. Despite this, he was promoted to Commodore and given command of the battleship Pentient Reprisal and a battle-squadron of escorts
Over the course of the next hundred years, Commodore Kreutzhof would lead his fleet to many victories across Imperial space. These victories include the containment of a Tau expansion fleet, destruction of Eldar Corsairs, and several battles against the forces of Abaddon the Despoiler's Traitor Legions. For these victories Kreutzhof would be promoted to the rank of Admiral and placed under the command of Lord Admiral Simone Baracca.
While carrying out only the second mission given by the Lord Admiral, Kreutzhof would make a fatal mistake. Over one-hundred years of victories would swell the ego of any being, and the Admiral let this get to him. In an unexpected Chaos attack near Drelograd, a majority of Kreutzhof's fleet would be left destroyed and the Pentient Reprisal heavily damaged. Lord Admiral Baracca was furious with the loss of Navy vessels, and even more furious that Kreutzhof managed to flee from his dying men.
Admiral Kreutzhof would be sidelined, and only a quarter of his fleet replenished. Official reports say the Admiral took his anger out on the shipyards of Volar III and seized governmental control for himself. The Admiral now rules the shipyards with an iron fist, working it's population to death to restore the losses incurred in his greatest defeat and during the Blood Wars.
