Fenghuang

The Fenghuang, sometimes called a Phoenix, is a magestic bird considered to rule over all other birds. Though associated with the Phoenix that appears in the folktales from Eoperax, the fenghuang has some key differences.
Strongly associated with femininity and fire, it directly opposes and balances the Dragon, which is characterized with a strong association to water and masculinity. Fenghuang do not rrssurect themselves the way a Phoenix does and they are nearly twice as big as their southern counterpart.
