Lord's Lament Bay

A Phoenix port, also known as Omo no Nageki no Wan, is centered in a small bay. The land nearby is rather flat, and it is not a strong military position. However, it is a major point of trade with the Islands of Silk and Spice, and has become a center of fashion in Phoenix lands, due in part to the availability of fine fabrics.
The town also has Fugu sushi.
The town is divided by a blue marbled wall around what is obviously the more wealthy district. Below, there is a bustling dock full of kobunes. The arms of the bay reach out, offering safe harbour. A small estate sits on an island partway out in the bay.

History

Lord's Lament Bay was founded when a Phoenix general lost to the Lion in 542. He requested the right to Seppeku from the Phoenix Clan Champion, but was denied. He wandered in sorrow, and came to this bay, and wept. In the morning, several of his loyal followers found him. Over the years, they build a town, and tried to raise their Lord's spirits. The built a port and a center of culture, but their Lord merely wandered around in sadness.
On his death bed, the Phoenix Clan Champion came to see him. The Lord asked why he had been forced to suffer for the last 15 years. The Champion gestured to the town and said "Look what your sadness has built."
The Lord died with a smile on his face.
