High Grandmaster

The High Grandmaster leads the clergy branch of the The Church of Charatos. They usually have a small committee of high priests to help delegate tasks, and will primarily lead any charity or humanitarian work the church undergoes.
Contrary to assumption, the High Grandmaster does not lead most festivals or ceremonies in the church, though they do often participate in organizing them. They are instead often led by the Grand Champion of Charatos.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

It is not uncommon that a good High Grandmaster will serve the church until their death or retirement. However, occasionally the clergy or congregation will request that they step down due to unpopular practices. In one instance the High Grandmaster was "accidentally" assassinated in an attempt to investigate corruption in the church.

Usually the High Grandmaster is chosen by the church congregation or clergy. However, there have been cases of Charatos himself or his messengers appearing and appointing a new High Grandmaster.
