Wolf of the Maelstrom
They have no faces. There are birds inside them. They eat people. They're coming.
Wolves of the maelstrom were once humans, who have since been terribly altered by a mysterious disease. They become faceless, cannibalistic horrors intent on feeding themselves and adding more to their monstrous ranks. They keep their inhumanity hidden away behind emotionless plastic masks and inviting southern accents, hoping to lure in unsuspecting victims.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
The wolves were once human, and are non longer. Infected with some sort of contagious disease, their faces melt away and are replaced with horrible chittering, tentacled mouths. This is typically hidden behind a plastic mask depicting a smiling blonde face.
The disease that transforms someone into a wolf starts with red bumps somewhere on the body. This rash spreads across face, hands and torso, when the afflicted starts to cough more and more frequently. Eventually, when the disease has run its course, the infected's teeth start to fall out and their facial features recede into their skull. When a hacking cough knocks the last few teeth loose, the mouth changes completely and any remaining humanity is replaced with an undeniable hunger.
Body Features
Aside from their faces, the wolves appear entirely normal and healthy.
Facial Features
Any semblance of a human face has been replaced with the alien visage of the wolf. Eyes and nose are gone, leaving a blank space of skin where they should be. Although they do have a mouth, it is far from human. During the transformation into a wolf, their teeth fall out and are replaced with a disgusting combination of mandibles, tentacles and fangs.
Apparel & Accessories
Wolves are easily identifiable by the plastic masks they wear to cover their faces. They all depict a smiling blonde woman, and are solidly within the bounds of the uncanny valley.

When engaged one on one in conversation, the wolves appear somewhat normal, albeit overly friendly and definitely creepy. They'll do their best to lure you into their lairs, by inviting you to dinner. I case it wasn't clear, you're the dinner.
