Juke Box
Unknown (a.k.a. Jukebox)
What is there to say about Jukebox? Well, she's not the weirdest person out there in the apocalypse, but she is certainly an oddity. Jukebox is a high-ranking mercenary in The Roc's Meat Market that leads her own squad of trained killers. Of course, there's plenty of killers and mercenaries in the Meat Market. So what makes Jukebox and her squad so special?
Well, everyone in Jukebox's squad, including herself, is mutated in some shape or form. Jukebox herself was born with a mutation that slowly ravaged her vocal chords to the point where she can only make a raspy gurgling noise whenever she tries to speak. To compensate for this, she plays lines from songs, music, TV, and movies on an old MP3 player she carries with her whenever she's trying to communicate or intimidate someone. The MP3 ran out of battery a long time ago, but Jukebox has opened her mind to the psychic maelstrom to charge it and get signals from any satellites still bouncing around signals in space.
Jukebox and her squad run regular missions out into nearby districts like the Infinite Loop, Group 14621 and Get High Falls. These missions are usually to kill some troublemakers in the area or to bring back a cache of supplies. The bosses are skeptical of Jukebox's team since they're all mutants, but they respect their killing potential and let them do as they wish when they're not running missions. If anything, Jukebox's motivation is to find mutated people like her who can fight for their fair share. Jukebox actually recruited her other squadmates on missions into the Inner Loop and Group 14621. In exchange for joining her squad, Jukebox nurtures their combat abilities and helps them cope with their mutations. They regard themselves as a tight-knit family that will always protect each other.

Personal history
Not much is known about Jukebox's early life aside from the mutation that destroyed her vocal chords. For as long as they could remember, this was a part of her life and she could never communicate properly with other humans. When Jukebox was about 6 years old (at least in human years), she could be found searching for food scraps in an abandoned apartment district of Group 14621. No family, no friends, and an outsider among the residents there, Jukebox was all alone in this unforgiving world.
One day, a gang of heavily-armed men came to scavenge the remains of the buildings in the area. Jukebox cowered in fear at the sight of them and scurried away to a nearby building to watch them out-of-sight. Just as the men were about to call it quits on the mission and go home empty-handed, a gunshot was heard down the street and tore open the chest of one of the mercenaries as he slumped to the ground. "GET TO COVER!" the mercenary captain yelled as his men hid behind wrecked cars and ripped-up concrete to return fire on the bandits down the street.
The ensuing battle was loud and ugly. Jukebox watched as both sides took immense casualties; the bandits recklessly running and gunning down the street, and the mercenaries moving from cover to cover and taking precision shots. Jukebox stayed hidden in a nearby building, watching the chaotic battle like it was a show she couldn't look away from, until the dust settled. It seemed like everyone had been killed in the fight. Jukebox looked down both ends of the street before rushing over to one of the mercenaries' bodies to scavenge them for food.
"The fuck are you doing?" Jukebox heard these words from nearby and instinctively reached for the dead mercenary's pistol on the ground. She held it up a bit awkwardly, but slowly steadied her aim as she centered her sights on the mercenary captain a few feet away. He too had his gun pointed at Jukebox, but seeing the famished condition this small child was in, he slowly holstered his weapon. "Listen, just back away kid. I want to take my friend over there back home." Jukebox suddenly got a wild stare in her eye, and the mercenary captain knew this was a death stare. Jukebox fired. The shot echoed down the street. Fresh blood spilled into the cracks of the road. "Jeez, little missy... you saved my life!" The captain turned around to see the body of a crazed bandit with a hatchet in his hand that must have snuck around them. A soft gurgling noise came from Jukebox as she shed a few tears. The captain bent down and said, "Your shot was good, but your stance could use a bit of work. Hey, help me get my friends here back home and I can promise you a better life than this." Jukebox looked up to see the captain reaching his hand out. Wiping away her tears, she took his hand and never looked back.
Since that day, Jukebox trained with the captain to improve her combat skills in the Meat Market of The Roc district. She had a natural aptitude for acting under fire and quickly rose the ranks to become a captain herself. Eventually, she went on an expedition of her own to the Infinite Loop where she acquired an affinity for harnessing the psychic maelstrom. She used this new ability to give power to an old MP3 player she found and realized she could play clips from music, TV, and movies on it. Jukebox utilized this as her new form of communication with other people and sought to help out other mutants who had difficulty living because of their mutations.
