Delores and Delilah

A pair of twin giraffes that are nearly conjoined at the hip. Delores is the elder of the two by two minutes, but she certainly doesn’t let that slip by her younger sister. Claiming seniority, she often demands to be first for everything the two of them do together. Delores is the more authoritative, tyrannical of the two.
However, Delilah isn’t as mildly behaved herself. One could argue that she’s even worse to deal with. At least Delores is up front about her attitude. Delilah is far more sneaky and sinister. She’ll seem sweet and overwhelmingly accommodating at first, but given the chance, she will not hesitate to brutally stab you in the back, repeatedly, in the most wickedest underhanded way possible. Despite Delores’ consistent nitpicking and belittling of her younger sister, Delilah still continues to look up to and crave her attention and recognition.
When they were young, they were put to work to construct one of the outposts. They were instructed to lug around the lumber on their backs and haul it up to the construction site. Of course, Delores took the lighter load of the two and forced her younger sister to carry the rest. Because the load was so heavy, Delilah struggled to keep up. Her bony legs buckled underneath the weight and she collapsed halfway to the construction site. She started crying while her older sister gazed at her from afar, disapprovingly. The construction manager demanded Delilah pick up the pace and get back on her feet. He started using slurs, calling her a “long-necked waste of space” and a “useless tree trunk giant”. With a whip he whacked her until she finally mustered up the courage to stand up again, knees shaking. Through sheer perseverance she managed to make it to the construction site with the heavy load.
Later that week, she devised a plan against the construction manager. Near the site, there was a shallow pit that had broken branches poking from the bottom. The branches were dangerous, but the pit was small enough to jump over so it wasn’t a big deal. Over the next month, Delores went to the pit and continued to dig it out making it deeper and deeper. She gathered the sharpest branches she could find and stabbed them upright into the floor of hole.
A couple weeks later, the body of the construction manager was discovered at the bottom of the pit, with various branches having impaled his entire body from the impact of the long drop down.
Not one soul suspected Delilah to be the culprit.
Considerably older now, the two sisters are now respected elders of the Kingdom. Those seeking advice and council, be wary not to get on their bad side. It is suspected the two sisters control what happens behind the scenes - the dark side of inner workings of the Kingdom. The masterminds behind it all.
