Kimmel Thorfren

Brief History

Kimmel has lived in Cliffport for his whole life, and spent most of his adult life working on fishing trawlers. His mother worked in a tavern and his father was a soldier who died when Kimmel was young. His mother did her best to raise him and saw to it that he at least learned how to read and do some simple maths. After the last Rising, he continued to ply his trade as a fisherman but this time for himself rather than working as a part of a crew.
After the discovery of a new species of shrimp and a fortunate encounter with an excited scholar, he found himself with enough money to open the tavern he had always dreamed of. The Shivering Shrimp was opened eleven years ago and become very successful with both local and visiting sailors. The success of the tavern gave Kimmel the courage he needed to ask Vrissa to be his wife, she agreed and they were married nine years ago, she now helps him run the tavern along with her adopted ogre child, Hazel.

Appearance

Kimmel is short, even for his kind, but seems to be making up for it in girth. He has green eyes which always seem crinkled in a smile, and a mop of unruly brown curls upon his head. His cheeks are always a rosy red, and he has an infectious smile and laugh. He likes to show off his new found success by wearing the latest fashions in clothing, no matter how ridiculous they make him look, and usually in colours to make ones eyes water.

Personality and Traits

Kimmel is a happy and welcoming sort, with a ready laugh and an even more ready tale to tell, most of which are widely exagerated. He speaks in a loud deep voice, and has a hearty laugh which comes deep from his belly. The only time anyone ever sees him even slightly angry is if someone cause trouble in the tavern, as he can't abide fighting of any sort.
