Zephyr

God of the Ocean, Currents and Change

Depicted as a wave of water with long tentacle like appendages with a large glowing crab in the center, Zephyr is the god of the Sea, currents, water and change. Called the Changemaker or the Tidebearer, the entire civilized world fears and respects Zephyr for their power over the Shattered Sea's waters. One of the three Elder Gods along with Huan and the God of the Trench, Zephyr is eternal; he is as old as the sea itself, and will be here long after humanity has faded from the Spheres. Despite what one might think, Zephyr is not a chaotic god; the tides and currents he commands don't form randomly and dissipate on a whim. If one studies the currents they can predict and estimate how they will change. Some people spend their entire lives devoted to Zephyr in an attempt to understand his sway over the waters. As such, the most devout of Zephyr are sailors, merchants, and travelers.
The symbol of Zephyr is a Water Lotus, which despite its name is not a plant. A water lotus is specific type of current that forms in locations in the sea, composed of multiple different smaller currents of different strength. The difference in current strength separates the silt and particles carried by the water into a lotus pattern, with its petals defined by the different particles each current carries. Such currents are omens of good luck to voyagers, and spotting one on a journey is taken to be Zephyr's blessing of a safe journey.
