    The war without cause initiated by Cascus Ingensdente which led to the founding of the empire.

    The Night of Steel Wraiths
    Military action

    Rapid, well coordinated offensives in the dead of winter cement the legendary capabilities of Cascus and strikes Melete by surprise leading to capture of vast military resources and recruiting of several new armies in preparation for the coming spring.

    The Capture of Calliope
    Military action

    Cascus sends the existing Imperial army to siege Thalia, city of trade, as a feint while he personally leads the new armies he has recruited to capture Calliope. This is successful and leads to wide scale disruption of trade amongst the city states as he reorients Calliope towards total war production.

    Coalition of Independants Founded
    Founding

    The remaining cities of Melpomene, Thalia, Mnemosyne and Clio form the Coalition of Independents. The newborn empire of Aoide, Calliope, and Melete begins full scale war, thus causing the conflict of unification to begin in earnest.

    The Pact of Wolves
    Diplomatic action

    With the signing of the Pact of Wolves and the subsequent annexation of Clio and Mnemosyne, the unification wars of the empire end, beginning a phase of expansion and development.

The life and reign of Ortus Ingensdente.

    Political event

    Cascus Ingensdente becomes wounded and abdicates to his son, Ortus, beginning the second era of the empire.

1020 AIC and beyond

The life and reign of Furkus Ingensdente.

    Regency of Furkus Ingensdente
    Political event

    Ortus Ingensdente passes away and is succeeded by Furkes Ingensdente, starting the third era. Rumors spread that draugr in the north are responsible.

    Vanishings in Mists
    Metaphysical / Paranormal event

    Disturbing, malicious mists flood the borders of the empire and lands surrounding, abducting some few hundred people of seemingly little in common, then dissapear. Observers attest to hearing things prowling within the mists which sound like massive wolves.

    Harvest of Tears
    Disaster / Destruction

    Devils open a series of portals into the material plane as part of a full scale invasion into the empire. Demons take advantage of this new instability and a 3 way conflict begins.

    Counterinvasion of Lower Planes
    Military action

    Portals are closed with a final offensive into the lower planes, bringing an end to the Harvest of Tears. The commanders of this offensive are many of the serving march lords, cementing the role of the march system in the modern empire.

    Aide sent to Clan Invigilo
    Expedition

    Blockay Timbersman is tasked by Solemnis of the white march to go to the Invigilo lands and discover what happened to the Invigilo border keep Porsena Vigil. A fae, Ithilnauthriel, was contacted by the guilds of Thalia, and so it came to be that they journeyed.
