Dawn's Light

When forces of Corruption run rampant, the desperate prayers for help will always be heard by one deity, and when its heralds arrive, they arrive with no mercy for evil.

Tenets of Faith

Dawn's Light follows the basic tenet that Corruption, and especially the Corruption caused by Astaroth must be controlled, contained, or destroyed.

Worship

Dawn's Light is generally one of the most practiced religions, albeit many people practice it passively.   Among its less fervent worshipers, the most common form of worship is a hastily said prayer for protection from evil, or a blessing of luck at the start of a journey. Often times the origins of the faith in the battling of Corruption are left by the wayside.   Alternatively the fervent worshipers are often warriors fighting against Corruption, or a part of a theocracy built upon the saints.    Most large cities have some form of temple for Dawn's Light, they are varied in design but generally feature a main alter of a rising sun and smaller alters to various saints.

Priesthood

The priesthood of Dawn's Light is made up of the faithful who have been trained to preform religious rituals. It is a generally voluntary process, but priests in training are screened through a ritual that reveals their deepest desires.   The sects including the saints with their own dedicated priests for each saint.

Granted Divine Powers

Powers generally granted provide protection against Corruption.

Sects

Because of the often passive and enigmatic nature of Dawn's Light it can be interpreted in many different ways. Some sects refute the legitimacy of the saints, while others worship them as individual religions; some have theocratic societies, while others separate religion and state.
