Barony of Rust
Although not technically a real barony, but the domain of the self proclaimed "Rust Baron" who rules the rusted sands of The Charred Desert .
Structure
The Rust Baron is the only fully sapient member of his barony. The other members are Syli of his design that carry out his will, until the time they develop their own and are banished from the barony.
Public Agenda
The Barony of Rust seeks to spread the use of the items made by the Rust Baron across the Rift World, and to impose the technological limits on other societies decided by the Rust Baron himself.
Assets
The Barony of Rust has technological marvels that other countries can only dream of, such as advanced weapons and armor, influence across the world, and the capabilities of creating almost anything craftable by mortal, magical, and occasionally divine means.
History
The beginning of the Barony of Rust is something of a mystery. Most have known it to simply always exist on the Rift World.
Military
In terms of raw power, the Barony of Rust has the strongest military on the Rift World. Armed with powerful weapons in a variety of types, full body exoskeletal armor, air/water/land vehicle support, and a never sleeping robotic presence in every corner of the world, they are not a force to be taken lightly.
Religion
The Rust Baron is a devout follower of the god of craftsmanship, Vulcan. To this end he has established the barony as far as he has to spread the influence of his god.
Foreign Relations
Many societies openly trade for technology from the Barony, some even hire its military as mercenaries.
Agriculture & Industry
The Barony of Rust undergoes the most complex and wide scale industrial creation of metal works. From shovel heads to firearms and everything in between is produced using the metallic sands of The Charred Desert, and what the sands cannot provide the Baron's treasury affords.
Trade & Transport
The Barony trades with almost all cultures on the rift world, employing the Rust Diplomats to facilitate.
