Settling on Essex

The Riesenjager officially took possession of the Andover Province August 30th, 3025. Shurik would official be granted the landhold, however the individual towns of the province were split between the different "founding families."
The land grant came with one caveat. Kamea Arano wanted the Riesenjager to keep a permanent force in the Aurigan Reach to augment the devastated Aurigan Coalition Military and act as a reactionary force to any threats too large for the regular army to handle. This cause an expansion within the Riesenjager, a dedicated "home guard" company was formed as that permanent force, this company was initially made up of a number of company members who wished to stay in the system to assist in governance and management.
For the first time, the company had a permanent head quarters, moving into an old SLDF fort locally known as The Castle located at the edge of Andover.
At this time, the Riesenjager also took on numerous contracts with Aspero-Dinton and Perennial Diversified, the two companies that ran the majority of existing industry in the system. While this was mostly simple security work, there where two occasions when "Hot Extractions" were required for Aspero-Dinton teams. (see Incident Report SW-30250915 and Incident Report MRDL-30260306 for details).
Several other companies partnered with the Riesenjagers. A pet project of Shurik Arano and Charlie Burke was the design of several classes of armored vehicle including the Charibdys and Scylla. These would be built Naumkeag Motor Works, which happened to be located just outside of The Castle.
All this time, the Riesenjager Mercenaries would take various contracts with employers such as the Federated Suns, Taurian Concordat, Magistracy of Canopus, and of course, the Aurigan Reach. The company would participate in the Fourth Succession War but miss the War of 3039 due to a Capellan Raid on the Essex System. A second battalion (2nd Jagers) would be established in 3029, working on an alternating "on-off" rotation with the 1st Jagers.
The Overlord Class dropships Sigrun and Gunnr are purchased (3030 and 3035 respectively) as homes for these Battalions. The Sleipnir would be purchased to transport the company dropships.
By 3045, the last of the founding members had stepped away from combat duties in the company and settled in the Essex System.
