101 Galorian Insults

Even in the fantastic realms of the Kaleidoscope, there are plenty of ways to be a prick.

Occupational

'Coppertop’ or ‘Gearhead’- The Eternan police, named for the gear emblem on their helmets. Common slang term, viewed as a mild insult at worst. ‘Ornery’- Members of the Orrery. ‘Clicks’ - Mild slur for the Gestalt and their operators.

Racial

These are all considered slurs.   Elven ears have them mocked as 'Knife-Ears', whilst their isolated naturalistic culture has earned them the insult 'dandelion eaters'. Some elves consider 'Fairies' to be a racial slur, whilst others attempt to reclaim it.   Drow insults are often 'Bugs' or 'Spiders', or 'Gutter Elves', referring to their underground origins and their cultural veneration of spiders.   ‘Midgets’, ‘Half-pints’ are used to make fun of a halfling's or gnome's size, whilst 'Monkey' mockingly compares a halfling's large ears and hairy feet to those of chimps and apes. 'Twitchy' or variants are gnomish insults.   ‘Half-breed’, ‘Bastards’, 'Mongrels' or any other unkind term for mixed heritage almost universally applies to Half-Orcs, Half-Elves and Changelings.   Changelings in particular are distrusted the most for their abilities, often singled out as 'Greyskins' if they attempt to wear their natural forms. If they try to blend in, they're 'Dopplers' (Doppelgangers) or 'Charlies' (Charlatans).   Twiceling is a slur employed by halflings towards humans, mocking their stature. ‘Breeder’ comes from the negative stereotype that a human will sleep with anything. ‘Fodder’ is the most offensive human slur of all, implying their short lifespan and lack of innate ability makes them expendable to other races.   ‘Footstool’ is a mild insult to a dwarf’s stocky stature. ‘Mole’ is a more offensive term, comparing them to ‘hairy burrowers’. Besides those two, dwarves have an entire lexicon of insults they use specifically against each other. ‘Smoothie’ or ‘Trimmer’ is used to insult another dwarf’s lack of facial hair, whilst ‘milk-sipper’ mocks a dwarf’s drinking prowess.   ‘Devils’, ‘Imps’, and other comparisons to literal fiends are par the course for most Tieflings.   ‘Pecks’, ‘Featherbags’ are Aarakocra insults. An Aarakocra calling another an ‘egg’ means they’re being a dunce. If a non-Aarakocra calls an Aarakocra an ‘egg’, it’s considered highly offensive.   Tabaxi may call each other 'cats' with no ill will, but coming from other races it's considered slightly condescending. Being called a 'rug' or an 'asslicker', on the other hand, will almost always get one clawed.   Threats to dragonborn almost always reference their scaly hide, with 'Boots' or 'Leathers' being common insults. 'Lizard' is a lazy, but still offensive, insult.

So... is it Illegal?

Discrimination in all stripes is technically outlawed in the Alliance, but such a broad-strokes law can only be applied to organizations and businesses. Being caught throwing slurs at someone in public will earn the ire of most decent folk and even a warning from the police if they're around, but it's not considered a crime on the grounds that people are entitled to their own opinion... even if it's a horrid one.
