The Kingdom of Umbra

Structure

Umbra has nine holds and a capital. Each of the holds is ruled by one of the nine Umbral Lords, who make up the Shadow Council. The capital, Drakehold, is ruled by the Underking, who is the elected head of the Shadow Council. The Overking rules over all of Umbra.

Technological Level

Though they lack the knowledge to create the combination weapons famously used by the Imperial Knights of the Order, the military and firearm technology of Umbra is overall more advanced then that of the Empire. Umbra is home to the invention of smokeless gunpowder, automatic rifles, and machine pistols to name a few.
