Halflings
One of the Prime Races, halflings were created by Phyridan, the Dreamwalker. He made them dream chasers, lovers of all the pleasures life has to offer. As such, halflings have become skilled cooks, entertainers, and artisans. They use these skills not only for themselves but also share these skills with everyone around them. Few taverns aren't brightened by a halfling's jokes, songs, tales, or food.
Halflings take their work just as seriously as they take their entertainment. Many settlements are home to talented halflings who bring just as much joy as they do hard work. Some halflings view adventure as one of these pleasures. This leads halfling adventurers to venture far and wide for the best stories to bring home and pass to their children.
Halflings on Resa are split into two subraces. The stout halflings of Aelerith and Hayos are renowned for their boundless appetites for good food and drink. In contrast, hailing from Miastrath, the lightfoot halflings are nimble on their feet and with their words. Due to their wanderlust, a mix of both types can be found across Resa.
