Everyone hates dark elves. In pre-history they conquered /enslaved everyone and forced the common language on people. Pre-history is jumbled up because the dark elves messed with time travel magic. Then all the dark elves disappeared. Their home islands also disappeared. The Malestrom of Madness appeared.
