Session 4: A Brave New World Report
General Summary
The party was relatively split up, and all had their own goals. The Rat King, Harold, had affairs to settle in the city of Dhuchais before he had a chance of leaving. He had a whole city to rebuild, and it wasn't going to happen overnight. Determined to keep his word to the people, he stayed for months assisting in the repairs of the new city. The walls between the classes were torn down, and the several tons of materials were used to improve and build new housing for those who lived their lives in the slums. Through public vote the area was brought into what could be considered a golden age where anyone who worked or pulled their weight was accounted for. The taxes taken by Therris were not a dent in their coffer, and it helped to have a well stationed and fully trained army to protect them while they were rebuilding. This assisted in keeping Fusilis from invading while they were weak.
Rickle chose to spend their time trying to commune with Grendel. After the 6th months, Grendel gave Rickle pertinent information on the plane they called home. She gave Rickle the location of the Primordial Gods. Apalāla the Water Beast resided in the oceans just south of Nepta in a place called "the serpent's spire" by the locals. She claimed that this immense tower was where she slept. Grendel herself was within the mountain that Rickle had unfortunately found themselves in, she said that she was deep within, so far that she could feel the magma under her feet. Huánglóng Angel of Rebirth was supposedly in a place called "Divos" and was the only dragon to regularly take on a human form. Mireu the Thunder God rested among the skies, though their exact location could not be discerned. She said that he sometimes took a moment to rest in Mount Fusilis, but this was rare. Níðhöggr the Earthen Worm slept deep within a ravine in the mountains around Therris, they were barely awake long enough to create the people of Therris before falling back to sleep. Lastly, Orcullus, the Demon of Hatred. She did not know his location, as they had not spoken much after she was captured by Goldbrand long ago. She says that they chose to live in Divos alongside the angel of rebirth, but they're not sure he still resides there.
Tug, inspired by this wine he had found, decided to try his hand at making alcohol. During this 6 months he went to the red entrance and the back door having tastings of their more "fine" alcohols, and took it upon himself to be the barman for the backdoor for the time being. The people of the backdoor became his test subjects as he tried over and over again to make a better brew. Supplies at first were hard to find, but after the 6 months the trains started moving again and Tug found himself with enough grains and barley to make a whiskey. Finally, he created the whiskey which now sits 3 months old in oak barrels in the basement of the backdoor, waiting for another 9 months to be cracked open.
