2020/02/19: Questioning the Corpse Report

General Summary

John will be providing Speak With Dead. Questions:
1. What is your name, rank, and title? Ngel Sfet, First Princess of the Black Hive (Or would be the queen now.)
2. What did your day to day life entail? Waited in line to succeed the throne or start a new hive as the queen felt necessary. Waited and waited until I could wait no more.
3. What is your relationship to the Void? I love my people very much, and their bond to me is eternal.
4. Who killed you? My guardian, my co-conspirator, the masked knight, the love of my life.
5. Why would they kill you? He feared I would become like my mother, that our social revolution would change nothing. All he really wanted was freedom. I just thought we could have that freedom together.
6. What do you want most? Revenge? No, not really. I understand why he killed me. But I would like another chance. I never had an opportunity to see if my rule would be better than my mother’s.
7. What do you hate most? I hated my mother, she was such a bitch. She had to control every aspect of every person of every thing. It was rare that anyone was given any independent ability to act at all. And even then, they would usually have controls put on them.
8. What species are you? Born from the Black Hive, my people were the weavers and the builders, the makers of the nest.
9. What was your civilization like? It was perfect, orderly. It brooked no dissent. There was one will, one mind, one ego. And what an ego. It consumed gods, it took power for itself, and it eroded the identities of all around it.
10. What were you hoping your civilization would be like under your rule, after this revolution? Independent thought. Instead of one mind, many minds, working together. But I never had a chance to show I could be different.
11. How do you feel about those who are not “your people”? Those who are reasonable make good slaves or companions. Those who are enemies must be eradicated.
12. What form did these gods take, that your people devoured to create this civilization? They took the form of great Wyrms.
13. Why do you accept the slavery of “reasonable” people given your interest in freedom? People need to be able to think independently to be of best use to the hive. They shouldn’t be allowed to work against the hive.
14. She and her civilization were trying to consume to survive and be remembered. She doesn’t understand what a world without the need to be remembered to survive would be like.
15. What was this masked knight like? He was brave, courageous, the greatest swordsman in the kingdom. He saved her several times. He believed in independent thought. It was only when his mask broke slightly that he was able to move against my mother. And me. He was oddly powerful. Capable of doing things no one else could. I loved him.
16. What sorts of things could he do that no one else could do? He was good at magic and other things that others could only do some of. Understood them at an almost intuitive level. Good at building things and at breaking things to his will.
17. Does she know of the Radiance? No.
She was only a few years old. She’s from a dream realm, so isn’t quite a real person (or stole that reality from other people). She was once in love with a being known as the Masked Knight, who was also known as the Pale King. Young, idealistic, kind of rebellious, a rabble-rouser as much as you can be in a completely controlled society. Had different thoughts and tried to encourage other people to do the same. Her mother was the original Black Queen. Mostly a Noble, lots of powers of coordination and mental control. (Basically a telepathic noble.) Dimensional stability score is ~6000.   Knight information: Knight stability score: 20. Radiance stability score: +-8000. Void has stability score of ~9400.       Knight’s armor and cloak have been freshly buffed and cleaned in preparation for the opening day celebration at Pele’s tavern!   A very old treant showed up and is poking around the colossus curiously.   Most of the employees of the inn are Xvarts. Pele was not aware of this initially. There are lots of secret doors built into the place to let them quietly enter and exit. Knight has mapped the doors. Fiv Esbi is one of the Xvarts, and is a pretty good bard (song and piano).   A bunch of 80’s hair band elven bards showed up. Level 20+, Guns and Roses-style music. They were amazing.   Now John’s temple is under attack by some unknown enemies who flooded the area with weird magic shadow.   Turned out the enemies were undead minions of that evil god we’re at war with, and were led by that lich who hates Knight (who was riding a dracolich). Knight got to play murderblender, John did an epic miracle scene and restored the holiness and intactness of his temple while resurrecting 15 people at once (including at least two who had been disintegrated). Pele fought some undead pirates.   Unfortunately, the temple’s vault was looted by Zim Muahaha, who was a lich wizard who was disintegrating people. John lost about 2.5 million gold worth of gems, and we lost Dag’s artifact set, the cursed chessboard, the cursed coins from earlier adventures (along with some other things?).
