2020/01/22: Exploring a Megalodon Report
General Summary
Terana, Knight, Pele, Dag, Shane
The party explored the insides of the city-sized megalodon Terana killed during her fight with the avatar of Agni. Terana did win her fight against the avatar and his pets without having to use her avatar form, so the rest of the party was able to escape the temple complex safely!
Knight managed to fit a tower-shield-sized megalodon tooth into his internal inventory.
Inside the dead megalodon's mouth, the party encountered a group of ghostly adventurers (sort of) made up of a druid, a wizard, two rangers with their panther companions, and a ninja. The druid hit everyone with a swarm of bone shards, and then Knight killed the wizard. Terana occupied herself with the rangers, and Dag pretended to be a wizard in hopes of luring in the ninja. A few seconds later, the enemy wizard got back up! Apparently he'd absorbed the health the party had lost.
Knight promptly stabbed him to death again, then tried to drag him over toward the druid so he could hit them both at once. In a fit of weirdness, though, the wizard dissolved into spirit motes and absorbed into Knight, promptly becoming logged as a wizard soul in Knight's internal inventory. His name is Sarathe.
The ninja took Dag's bait, managing to stab Dag almost to death. When Dag regained consciousness, he opted to launch himself at the druid from the prone position rather than getting up. He overshot, but grabbed the druid anyway, ending up bouncing down the megalodon's throat with him.
Unfortunately, the druid got away when they ran into some internal teeth.
The party pursued, next finding themselves catching up to the druid when they found the prince he served, alongside the prince's retinue. The whole area was a dead magic zone. Pele and Knight almost died, but survived the mad undead prince's fire summoning and harm spells by the tips of their claws.
In the end, everything but the prince was dealt with, but the prince proved effectively unkillable, taking thousands of points of damage and ending up as an angrily screaming intangible ectoplasmic mass. So Knight ate him too. His name is Tesh.
Knight found that the wizard had been messing around with Knight's inventory, and Knight was uncomfortable with both the wizard and the prince running free in there, so he had the Void... lean on them a little. And then put Tesh in a ghost jar provided by Terana. They're both behaving themselves now.
And then the party helped birth the dead megalodon's party-liner-sized baby, which promptly ended up in Terana's coterie of animal companions.
