12. Experience and Gaining Levels

To gain a level, you need to collect ten check boxes of Experience. Starting a new class (multiclassing) requires ten boxes. That was short and easy, wasn’t it? You can expect 1-5 xp boxes per session, though usually 2-3 will be the normal reward. Finishing adventures, story arcs, etc awards extra. If you are below party level, DM will tend to award a little extra per session as catch-up XP.
