Revolution

Cuban Citizens resist American occupation after getting a foot through the door in 2037 as a result of Military Police slipping in standards. Many Cubans beg for liberation and Freedom but without any United Nations, their cries largely fall on deaf ears. Despite this, they managed to still resist occupation until 2040 CE when resources became so scarce, that people simply compromised to survive.
  The New Cuban Commonwealth was a brutal Dictatorship that regularly punished any form of resistance or divergent thought. Every street was filled with propaganda and the Rebels were recharacterized as Terrorists and Anarchists who only wanted to cause trouble. American Occupation also came with a cultural cost, Native languages, Arts and forms of Expression were banned by the Colonial Government and instead, the Country was forcefully Americanised.
  Cuba slowly but surely lost their own identity.
