While the OG variant of the NEC-27 Plague was only designed to turn people into Mutated Zombies. The Virus has drastically outgrown even the wildest expectations of its creators. Now that several Mutants have been killed and studied, the CDC was able to discover that the Virus can infect itself, it is so virulent and uncontrollable it can manually mutate itself to create new Infection forms.
  President House is briefed on the Situation and decides that Medical Agencies and arms of the Government will be given Redacted information on NEC-27 to better study and understand the disease including intelligence that shows that the Genes used to make this virus, was Alien in Nature.
  Though this revelation would be kept from the Public, by 2042, Doctor Adam Vottz discovered that the Cells to create NEC-27 were somehow intelligent, intelligent enough to recognise threats and were creating these monsters as a form of Self-preservation. This Alien piece of Fauna is theorised to come from some Highly radioactive environment where cellular life has to mutate constantly to survive.
  NEC-27 was officially dubbed as unusable by the Government by 2043 and all applications of it were terminated and instead used to inform future Genetic Experiments and Projects.
