The Grey

The Grey is the plane of existence of souls. When a creature with a soul dies, it is said to have passed onto The Grey. It is both respected and feared.

Geography

Those who have seen The Grey and returned say it appears to simply be a mirror of your old life. You take the place of your life as if you had not died. The only major difference is that the world is said to have no color what so ever. Once you have finished living your life within The Grey, it is said that you are reincarnated back onto the Material Plane based on what actions you took in The Grey. 
Those who visit The Grey but have not died stand out wildly, as they they are the only beings who have color in that world. Any objects or beings that don't come from The Grey retain their color while they are there.

Localized Phenomena

For those who have died, The Grey is both a second chance and a continuation of their previous life before being given a new one.
However, A living being who goes to The Grey is in danger of being stuck there. The longer a living being remains in The Grey, the more their color is leeched from them. Once their color is fully removed, they are considered to have passed away effectively and are a being of The Grey at that point.
