Reldaz

The world of Reldaz is hostile and dangerous world where the surface is entirely unlivable due to consistent showers of iron shards. All of life lives underground, and rust permeates the upper layers of the underground, making the water mostly undrinkable. As far as the sentient races of the world are aware, the only bastion of civilization is the Ringed City of Elysium, which surround a giant hole that goes from the surface to an unknown depth of the underground called the Pit of Tartarus. Civilization fights to survive and thrive, doing all they can to fight back the horrors of the under in order to bring back resources to improve the lives of the city. What lies at the bottom of the underground? Why are there strange artifacts found below?
