History

The Sapphire Spiral was created for the King of Modi as a present for his mistress, Jue Appney, shortly before his death. For six hundred years it was passed down through the Appney family line.
After being the object of attempted theft on twelve occasions, the security was increased to the point where it was considered the most well-protected valuable item in the city of Gelze.
Despite that, it was successfully stolen and found its way to a car boot sale on Earth, where it fell into the hands of the unsuspecting human Jolie Penn, who was subsequently arrested and convicted of theft, leading to her beginning a career in Gelze as a Resource Acquirer.
