Hakiem the Storyteller
Hakiem Theron
Hakiem is an itinerant storyteller, a wanderer from town to town gathering stories wherever he goes, and telling them to make ends meet. In his youth, he studied briefly the Riddle Master's College, but barely lasted a year; Riddles are not for him. He liked the stories he learned while studying Riddlery, and so became Hakiem the Storyteller. Several years ago, having offended the Fey Lord Auberon with some of his stories, he was brought against his will into the Feywild, and made to do penance, being told to "tell better stories" in Auberon's court.
Over the next few years, Hakiem told enough stories, and (by swapping them around so the mortals were the hapless fools, not the fey anymore) became popular enough at court that his penance was lifted. He grew to love his new surroundings, and wants to get back there someday. He carries a staff made from an Oak tree that grew in the Feywild. It has no special properties, but is capable as serving as his spell focus. Over time, Hakiem's well of stories ran dry. Lord Auberon has sent Hakiem back to the mortal realms, to wander and learn more stories. He's been promised that if he can learn enough, he will be welcomed back into the Court. To keep him safe as he travels, Hakiem has been given the Blessing of Auberon, turning him into a Warlock. Hakiem is properly grateful for the Blessing, but worries about relying on it. He doesn't want to attract the attention of the magicians who dwell within the city. In an emergency he may choose to fall back on his quarterstaff, which was created from a Feywild oak tree and doubles as his spell focus.

Facial Features
Hakiem generally shows himself to be cheerful man, up for a drink or game. In combat, his eyes harden and his face drops into a grim frown as he starts to wield his master's powers.
