Celebration of Shia

11th of Haliac

Observance

A more somber celebration of death and Shia's work in maintaining Limbo. Unlike the Festival of Death, much more emphasis is put on the grueling work Shia must perform in shepherding the dead to Limbo and giving thanks to the death god for being the one to do so. Offerings are given directly to Shia's priests and shrines, often in the form of written prayers, wills, final wishes, and thanks for when the worshippers one day die. Most observers of the festival often end the day with a light meal consisting of Shia Pudding, Death's Bloom Tea, and dry bread before fasting until the following morning. Oftentimes pleasant smelling herbs are rubbed in soil and hung from the front door, a symbolic offering to the gods.
