Personal history
Ophelius grew up in the small village Fianna with his sister Ophelia Dawn. He spent his entire life never venturing far from the village borders as there is no transport to and from Fianna so he would have to travel by foot. As he got older, Ophelius became the village's leader and lead Fianna for many years, but he began to ponder what the world was like outside of his small village. So one day he packed all of his things into a large rucksack and gave his sister the position of leader. He then set off into the world looking to explore every corner of Winval and spread kindness everywhere he went.
Following an abduction in the night, Ophelius once found himself enslaved by the drow in a cold cell shared with Captain Lydia Starling and Professor Everina Nebulous. The group were brought before Lolth, High - Demon and Queen of the Drow, and tasked with eliminating an unknown threat that had been slaughtering drow soldiers and driving scholars to insanity.
Escorted by General Tulius of the drow army, the group soon traced the carnage to a small cavern outside the city borders, in which a Mindflayer had taken up residence and had been devouring the brains of unfortunate drow. Following a tense battle in which General Tulius was tragically murdered, the group mournfully returned to Lolth to tell her of their exploits. Racked with guilt, Ophelius offered to serve and worship Lolth in order to make ammends for the loss of her general, leading him to become a cleric of both Gerome and Lolth.

Ophelius is a devote member of the Friends of Gerome and as such lives his life following the teachings of Gerome. He treats everyone he meets with kindness and compassion, he is also a pacifist and believes violence should only ever be used as a last resort.
