Meradian

Meradians are native humanoids of the Shattered Lands of Mera, also officially known as Meradian Archipelago. The term "Meradian" doesn't refer to a specific race, but to the all humanoids living in Mera. Meradian races are really diverse, but the majority of them are humans, halflings, goliaths and dwarves. Tortles are also native to Mera, and considered Meradian, though their numbers are not much due to their slow reproduction cycle. Even though some sources refer dragonborns as Meradians too, neither Meradians nor dragonborns accept this because of the history between them, even if they're in good terms for the last few hundred years.   Meradians usually have tanned skin, and every Meradian race tend to be taller than their counterparts in other continents. They mostly inhabit the southern islands of Mera, where they live in a lot city-states under the Union of Mera.

Major organizations

Artisans of Meranwood

Artisans of Meranwood is a guild of Meranwood crafters, funded directly by the Union. They're the the only people in the world who can carve the Meranwood masterfully, to the point of building a ship. Even though the Union imports Meranwood to other nations, they don't share the secrets of shaping it.

Runecrafters

Runecrafters are like tattoo artists. Only difference is that they use gem dust instead of ink, and they're also mages. Runecrafters can make magical dusts from various gems found throughout Mera, and they can imbue them to people's skin to give them magical powers. These powers are not that powerful, but significant enough to make a difference. Unlike Artisans of Meranwood, the art of runecrafting is copied by other cultures and nations, even though they're not as skillful as the runecrafters of Mera.
