Lagaanian

Lagaanian is an ancient and mysterious language, found on some of the Inzldorian tablets and books throughout Western Eradis. It is grammatically similar to Inzldorian language, but uses an entire different alphabet and vocabulary. Linguists and historians think that the language was used by some high class coterie, presumably mages and scientists, as most of the examples of the language found are either scientific or arcane texts.    Much like anything related to the lost continent of Inzldor, not much is known about Lagaanian.

Writing System

Many people who discovered Lagaanian texts thought it was an insanely complex language since it had 116 letters in its alphabet. However, linguistics quickly reliazed that most of these letters were used very similar to each other, and could be used almost interchangeably. Every letter in Lagaanian language has 3 different alternatives, thus making the actual alphabet only around 29 letters. It is thought that the language was created this way to be able to create more cryptic texts for Inzldorian mages who didn't want their secrets to be stolen easily.   In short, it can be said that Lagaanian had 4 different alphabets, but since all of the texts mixed them, it can be scary for an unfamiliar eye.

Geographical Distribution

There are only a handful of people in whole Eradis who can speak (or rather, write) Laganiaan, most of them being scientists, mages, and enthusiasts of Inzldor.   It is widely known how rare Inzldorian ruins and vestiges are, but texts in Lagaanian are rare even in Inzldorian standards, making them almost impossible to find. However, they can be found in some Inzldorian ruins along the Sumanchi Coast, in forests of Murasaki Dynasty, and at the depths of Aeternum Ocean.

Phonology

Not much known about the phonological nature of Lagaanian, as the only source material for the language are old texts found on ancient ruins. Some theories even suggest that since Lagaanian is an esoteric language, it was not spoken, only written.
