Guild of Heroes

Guild of Heroes, formerly known as League of Heroes, was an Aethra-based military organization. Founded during the Invasion of Tiamat by a couple of voluntary adventurers to stand against Tiamat and her horde, League of Heroes quickly gained a lot of volunteers and popularity, and established themselves as a strong organization throughout Aethra.   Guild of Heroes's main goal was always maintaining the peace in Aethra. They always remained an independent organization, and even though most of their organization was based in Ashea Imperium, they didn't take a side in any war waged between countries. They only protected the land by external and dangerous forces, such as Tiamat, or the undead lord of Arthion Zhelfar, and didn't care about political wars.   In times of peace, they mostly became a monster slaying organization and dealed with smaller threats, though they started to be involved in the Imperium politics in their final years.   Even though Guild of Heroes never officially disbanded, their numbers diminished significantly with the War of the Lost Sons, and they lost most of their integrity. Despite being a small guild that only has a few offices left, bards still sing songs about their bravery or tell the tale of their heroism.

History

Foundation

Established during the chaos of the Invasion, League of Heroes fought alongside the Alliance of Aethra to expel Tiamat's forces. With the lands most formidable warriors and mages, they recruited a lot of talented people and volunteers to their rank. By the end of the Invasion, The League had already become a small scaled army.   Before the Battle of Elluin's Pass, Jarlena Dalamuth, the most talented mage of the League, casted a spell to create an eighty meter wall of earth between the mountain ranges of Congremenekon and Crooked Crest to stop the advance of the horde. Even though Tiamat tore down the wall during the battle, most of the wall is still intact to this day, and serves as a memorial for the fallen.   During the battle, Jarlena, with her closest (and most talented) four comrades from The League, Uradiel, Mirella, Alros and Nalzear, tried to attempt to seal Tiamat. Each of them managed to seal one of Tiamat's heads by locking her heads into huge spheres of stone and earth they created in the sky, thus creating the Five Moons. Even though this ended the battle and a few weeks later, the Invasion, this enourmous task also cost them their lives.   Even to this day, Five Moons circle the sky and acts as a beacon of hope for anyone who lost their way in desperate nights.

Downfall

Guild of Heroes played an important role in War of the Lost Sons. Even though organization itself was a mess when the war began, the strong individuals within the Guild changed the course of the war. Kaiden Santano and Salen, two of the most prominent figures of the war, especially went down in history with their determination and sacrifice.   Despite fighting tooth and nail, ascension of Crystal Lord at the end of Battle of the Black Valley caused nearly all of the forces of the Guild to be crystallized like the rest of two armies, Kaiden Santano being one of them. After this tragedy, Guild couldn't pick themselves up, and turned into a small adventuring Guild.
