Agrifel

"I'd never seen such a beautiful but imposing place as Agrifel. The mountain against its back, blocking so much sun. Yet all that stone, so smooth in the light, was a vision the likes of which I've struggled to find again. It is, of course, heavily fortified but once I was through the gates, the city just came to life. Small markets had sprung up all over and there always seemed to be performers ready to enchant me." - excerpt from a Knowledge-Keepers of Thala travel advisory in 4002 A.C.
A commercial hub that serves as Krogia’s capital city. A river runs through it, separating the rest of the city from the noble’s manors and the castle which is built into the face of the mountain.

Defences

Agrifel's castle and parts of the city proper were built into the large mountain known as Caston. Any part of the city perimeter not backed by mountain is instead protected by 25 foot stone walls. All of these walls are said to be reinforced with magic protection granted by Midix, God of the Earth. Whether it is true or not has been a heavily debated topic among Knowledge-Keepers of Thala for centuries.
