Session 7
General Summary
To Mimic a Murder
After the reveal that Mimics were behind the Greymeadow warehouse murders, Stolas was quickly attacked in an encounter that could have proved fatal had it not been for the timely intervention of Yippity, Silas and Novita.
Breeder of Mimics
After attempting to leave the warehouse once the mimics had been slain, Stolas once again was attacked by Brago Voldgrasp. Brago cried out that they had been his "babies" and it was revealed through a series of notes that he had orchestrated the attacks. Yippity and Stolas combined their magical prowess and wit into luring Brago underneath a large keg of dwarven ale, and crushing him with it.
After pocketing a few goodies, the group re-joined Dagen Hillborn and handed in the evidence of Brago's betrayal. They were paid and taken to meet the Lord of Greymeadow, Lord Lucius Brimstone.
Lords and Headaches
The group met Lucius, an elderly Human gentleman, who thanked them for their work and showed a keen interest in the group as a whole. Novita was suddenly struck with memories of one of her past lives.
A Tiefling male runs through a cave, being pursued by a huge Devil.
“Come little elk, I can smell you, I’ll find you eventually.”
After some time of pursuit the Tiefling hides and begins to summon a magical portal. The Tiefling uses his blade to slice off his horn and shouts.
“You’ll have to find all of me”
Throwing the horn through the portal. Just as a huge devilish hand wraps around him from behind, as the Tiefling struggles and squirms with each bone in his body snapping.
And as the life leaves his eyes, a silhouette of a devilish figure turns the corner clapping.
“Well done Zizavo… But it appears you missed a piece. Worry not Kazrah, your little scavenger hunt will be fun, but we’ll get your horn eventually… And then I’ll claim that soul of yours.”
Novita awakens to the face of Lord Lucius who asks if she is okay. Sensing something off about the lord, Novita wraps up the conversation and the group retire to an Inn.
There Novita spills the details of her vision to the group and allows Stolas to identify the haft she carries, revealing it to be the remains of Mace of Estaroth.
