Session 16

General Summary

The Bucket

After defeating the cultist, the group search their bodies and Stolas recognises a lapel logo of Estaroth's Cult. There are seven statues in this cave each in varying shades of colour, Stolas manages to find slots that match these shades and the group insert the statues which reveal a vault behind a stone wall. Inside the vault is a pedestal with an ornate box on top. Felicity takes the box and quickly grabs the relic within.

The Relic within the box appears to be a bucket. The bucket itself is nothing special other than a small engraving of a golden monocle on the outside of it. It isn't magical in any way. Felicity uses the bucket to scry on the associate she seeks, who she states is located in Pellhallow. Seeing that they can get paid extra, the group choose to accompany Felicity on the road to Pellhallow.

Talk and Travel

The group travel south and camp for various nights. During those nights they talk to each other. Stolas questions Yippity about his aversion to Lindell and deduces that Yippity may be linked to a murder. Stolas chats with Felicity some more and learns that she is a wound walker. Wound walkers do not originate from Raxodan and were brought here through The Wound from another world. She is staying with The Custodians until Mallory can find a solution to get her home. Felicity explains she is the daughter of a famous bard named Gottfrey Brightwell back home, and although she inherited his lyrical talents, she also underwent training in blood hunting under a man named Moika Bailik.

Aelyse and Felicity ask about Stolas' Necromancy and learn how Claw came to be through a magical test gone wrong back in Stolas' school days. Claw was the hand of a Dragonborn classmate of his that he later reanimated to prove a point.

Aelyse and Yippity discuss the night sky and Aelyse shows Yippity the constellations, particularly discussing the Eyes of the Sky Painter, the primary constellation of Celesticia.

Giants and Rabbits

During travel the group encounter signs of danger on the road. They hide in the bushes and sneak past some hungry hill giants. Choosing not to engage in a fight, they slowly carry on and eventually settle down for the final travel night. Here Yippity is visited by a talking rabbit. This talking rabbit is Veradictus, Yippity's patron in disguise. He warns Yippity that if he avoids the Pelgate casino task for too long there will be consequences, wheras if he goes he could be greatly rewarded. The rabbit leaves and Yippity is left to sadly contemplate his options.
